What a love for the details...gorgeous settings...cudos for Suzanne Caplan M. (production design...also for DCH, ZNMD and Gully Boy) and Dhara Jain (set decorator...also of Talaash, Don 2 and Gully Boy) smiley27

Was looking fwd to this..hope the innocence of good old Archie comics is preserved.

The characters were flawed, not bad. Both young and old..and almost all youngsters adored their parents.

If it's any different pls warn me ahead

The cinematographer (Nikos Andritsakis) also made Sushant's dedektive movie...he is really good in these periodic movies! Oh yes...and the dark thriller Ugly (Kashyap)

Until now, all the youngstes are very much in character...a pleasure to watch... I like the vibes... a lot of undercurrent emotions (which shows in the acting)...

Kushi is perfect in her role of sweet & nice but silently suffering ... Suhana as the brat she has to come across...every part of her body moving accordingly (I suppose that will change throughout the movie with connecting with the vibe of the town again).

A well developped story (until now)...and I love these youngsters!!!

Cliff Richards is mentioned (born in India!!!)...hey...I will continue to like the music, I bet smiley20

Watched it. And contrary to my own feelings I quite liked it smiley36

The actors are all amateurs you can see that from first scene onwards but sincere. Story is a bit light but that is expected for a teeny bopper film. I wish it was a series (7 or 8 episodes) rather then a 2:20 min film. Cos I liked the lesser characters more then the leads. Vedang as Reggie was so good and Dilton and Ethel I'd have liked to know more about them. Augustya was nice but doesn't have the x factor doesn't hold your attention much. Khushi was passable and Suhana was okayish. Standout scenes were Reggie and Dilton scene and Archie's dad's anglo Indian community dialogue. Songs were really nice, it was more like a musical.

3/5

Watched it for a good 45 minutes before shutting it off. Bland and boring so far, predictable narrative with flat storytelling. Khushi Kapoor made a good first impression though. Everyone else is meh.

God knows why Zoya Akhtar wanted to make this boring movie. Shall watch the remaining later tonight.

Read the film companion review. The guy is confused if it's woke enough or not..and whether that's a good thing or bad 🙂

he really used the word in his review.

One thing is clear though..he isn't much impressed
