Does singer/lyrics writter/ composer get royalty on streaming views?

Like 500 million views youtube video or streaming in spotify does artist get benefit from these numbers?

Streaming services pay a very minuscule amount per stream.

Previously (and I say this because not sure if the figure has changed), Spotify used to pay $0.00318 per stream...so you'd need 314 streams to make a dollar.

Hence artists like Taylor Swift had actually removed their catalogues.

Btw, singers do not get paid major royalties, their share is tiny. Major stakeholders of royalties are publishers (labels) and creators (songwriters a.k.a music directors and lyricists).
