Arjun called Alia Meryl Streep as a joke and she promptly got trolled for it. Arjun...Kapoor saying something is different from an actual director saying extra praise to suck up to someone. He says stupid stuff to be relevant.

If Vanga was being honest Ranbir should be compared to Sunjay Dutt - despite his issues Sanjay was a good actor and it's in the same vein of what Ranbir is trying to do. DeNiro? Pacino? Those are completely different styles of actors. Kamal Hassan takes after the Gemini Ganesan style of acting barely anyone does in the North. It's laughably off.

South Indians don't have the PR finesse. That's the only difference.

KJO only calls Alia these things because she's his favorite. And he gets called out for it. But he only really does it for Alia. He tried with Janhvi but it was forced and he/Janhvi had a huge fallout over it. He notoriously backstabbed Kareena after singing her praises.

These South Indian directors butter up EVERY star at EVERY launch. Check any launch event. The way even Atlee was around SRK, even if it's genuine is idiotic. I don't care about PR or other actors, but directors calling their stars genuises is stupid because directors do 99% of the work.

Well the problem is that these articles come out and just make it even more difficult for the actor in question. That is why Alia (despite doing good work) still gets trolled and almost lacks respect with the audience, because even before the release of her film they were calling her Meryl Streep.

You cant get anywhere by being like someone else. Nobody looks at Amitabh, SRK or Sridevi and thinks, geez they are like [insert name here]. No. Just no.

Not sure if this is Ranbir's PR but they need to be fired if this is the strategy,
