Grover's character sacrifices his hand to save Tara and her unborn kid.

And at the end, blood from Grover's face is falling into Tara's maang.

This is deffo looking a bit Abhinav from YRKKH types.

Also looks like they've ended Anusuya's character. She got a blow to the head today and didn't get up.

Rajvaidya, Rajpurohit gone- possibly Anusuya too. Nothing about Mahavir yet- probably they'll re-introduce him if required.

Indira Krishnan shown in today's episode too- part of Grover's character's kingdom.

The sudden-ness of the switch, plus today's episode, makes me feel more and more that this was done for TRP reasons.

I think we can possibly say goodbye to D-T centric tracks, where their individual character is shown growing in the company of the other (say Tara learning more 21st century stuff for example).

Grover's character has an ehsaan on Tara that she cannot repay. The D-T kid will 100% be groomed to be Devgarh's (KVG' character's kingdom) ruler. D-T won't want to return to their century without their kid- so the story will continue in the 17th century unless KVG's character sacrifices or has his own kid in the future.

Nothing against KVG's character, but if you're a fan of D-T's characters and wanted to see their growth together, the last few episodes have been a let down. Knowing ITV, I'm not sure that part of the story will ever get importance again.

I think DT under scanner hai is liye trp increase karne ke liye puri storyline change kar di hai

Sony SUB par new show aa raha hai Aangan karke woh DT ko replace kar sakta hai shayad

I think so too- there's definitely TRP pressure. It's too drastic a revamp to have been planned originally.

I don't think the show itself might be in immediate danger, but SAB would have probably insisted on a time slot change or a budget change, which SSP would not have agreed to (Vanshaj at 7pm gets 0.3; at 10pm it gets 0.7)
