What I'd love to see...

is a serial where the main women don't have to solve everything by themselves and carry the entire burden of the family (and other families too). A serial where women's liberation won't mean just giving speeches to everyone about what women's liberation is like and then going back to bearing the full responsibility of the family. A serial where the main women relax while the men step in equally to take care of the kitchen, the family, etc. A serial where people understand boundaries in a healthy way and don't think meddling in and controlling other people's lives and behaviour is the ideal way to "head" a family. A serial where self-sacrifice isn't praised as the greatest virtue and where people can have their own lives and wishes. Let the men do some work at least yaar instead of standing around like scenery pieces.

And why can't everyone onscreen just take a chill pill and focus on their own problems. 😭 My mom says that in those days she used to watch serials to forget the troubles in her real life; these days after watching serials like Anupamaa she goes back to her real life to forget all the troubles in the serial. 🤣😅
