Deepika playing it safe?

I feel like there should be some vitality in an actor's upcoming films. It's important to have at least one movie that gets both the haters and the fans excited, wondering if it's going to make or break the star or send them skyrocketing. When that buzz is gone, the star's mojo fades, and I'm not seeing any of that excitement in Deepika's upcoming releases.

Her recent filmography looks like an all-action genre marathon. Pathan, Jawan, Fighter, Singham Again. This is the kind of lineup I would expect from Katrina Kaif.

Look at her biggest competition right now, Alia Bhatt, who's always pushing the envelope and taking risks with every release, (I hate her for that at times).

Is this her reaction to the audience's response to "Gehraiyan," and "Chhapak"?

Lucky for her, the whole "married actress curse" seems to have disappeared. In fact, it's kinda cool to be a married actress in Bollywood, juggling life and work. So there's really no reason for her to play it so safe.

She is a star, not an actor. In that way, she is making all the right choices

i think Deepika has already proved herself plenty of times … her leaning towards more action movies is smart choice. shes got blockbuster bulletproof movies in the lineup

I have heard Project K is a very experimental role. She has a massive amount of shares in that movie. It's likely after she recieves the profits from that movie, she'll do a female author-backed role again.

Aliaa getting amazing project due to Karan Johar through production or lobbying. I don't understand why Deepika even signed Gehraiyan. She and Priyanka should know by now that Karan Johar will try his level best to give all amazing project to his stJust to give hype to Ananya and Karan Johar will try his level best to give ananya good projects too. As now she is busy photoshoots, ADS and Walking on the ramp. But Deepika did Jawan and Pathan only due to Srk, she did not even charged a penny for that movie and she got a lot of praised in the movie too. Singham sequel is not easy to get into, she did. As of fighter, the movie has not even released yet lol. I don't think Deepika will ever refuse a movie with Srk.

I was thinking that too. But maybe she is bored of same old story and now interested in more action thriller? It also depend on PR strategy. I don't think she is playing safe.

She has a lineup which more or less assures her star value for the next couple of years .

Acting is too much effort.. she is fine doing action masala, cashing in on her fame like most Stars do.
