Then there might also be some genuine members who get put off by the questions and change their mind. I don't think our admin ji would be okay with decreasing his forum traffic. Can't they block proxys and allow only one account to be made under every IP address?

This set of questions are asked to those who is creating new Ids ,not for regular members. So i don't think genuine new members will put off, If they are really want to join the site.

So many apps have mobile no. Verification through otp and we have no objection entering our numbers there but here it's a strict no no? Why? Is Indiaforums really that ill reputed? 🤔

As for me, I have no problem verifying my phone number here like I did for FB Twitter etc.

Trolls kill the forums far more quicker than those he deact over phone number. Non of us will deact.

I was against sharing my number..but I'm prepared to phone verify if that means people are kept safe on forums. There are young persons using the forum too. We need to all show social responsibility.

Just because 5 people are okay with providing their number, doesn't mean everyone is willing to. Yeah, they may leave but who'd take responsibility of those after they share their number if something bad happens to them. God forbid!

Also, along with trolls, tackling bullying etc etc, I hope MODS can also take a look at those members who instigates others, make topics to rile up others & then when people call them out suddenly they cry saying they are being harassed. If we are taking everything into consideration, let's take a good look at everyone.

Vijay, as you can see very clearly, this dhiktana is just one of the MIDs who has been harassing me on the BWF Chit chat thread and now here on this thread, in your presence. I am running late for work so I do not have the time to entertain these unemployed trolls and/or refute any of their nonsense.

Please listen to the suggestions here and take care of this MID nuisance. It’s been an infestation since the last month ever since an MID was publicly dragged on the forum for making rape apologist posts on a movie review thread. Majority of the forum members rightfully did not support those rape apologist posts. Since I was the one who exposed that MID’s posts on the movie review thread, it’s been after me like a lunatic.
