I am still waiting for the teaser . It needs to be really good and on ETT/ Sultan level otherwise bumper opening in pre-diwali is impossible . YRF should have sticked to Eid or moved to Xmas . Why diwali Also the World Cup is there .

I dont care after Covid these Holidays matter that much. I know Diwali for last few years was not as a hot time as Eid/Christmas but in 1990s Diwali was main holiday for releasing movies. So many Holiday movies are dying now

I don't think you need to worry - it will do well and open well at the very least.

Tiger 3 had the potential to break every opening record if released on any other day . Releasing it on Pre-Diwali is a missed opportunity.

I don't understand, Diwali is the biggest festival period in India, SRK gave his biggest opening (HNY) before Pathaan on his last Diwali release, I always associated SRK with Diwali, I don't know why he stopped releasing movies on Diwali, anyway if you are trying to pull the "I am surprised Tiger 3 did well" then I understand but otherwise YRF got a very good festival release for it

Jawan Looking At A Fantastic Second Day

Jawan is looking at a fantastic second day with collections set to be around 45 crore nett which will mean 110 crore nett in two days. The drop is looking to come in at around 30% from the first day which is excellent as it was a partial holiday on day one.

The drops may well a bit bigger in areas where Janmashtami pushed collections like Gujarat but they will recover over the weekend. Pathaan had a three day record of 160 crore nett but its pretty certain that record will go as Saturday should cruise past the 50 crore nett mark for Jawan.

The film set an opening day record on day one but just failed to set the highest single day record which will now be a target for the film on Sunday. The last day of the weekend is also crucial for the hindi mass markets as despite the big opening the smaller centres in these belts can still make up some ground.

The hold on second day ensures a huge four day weekend which should go to around 235-240 crore nett which practically ensures a BLOCKBUSTER film and then its about the holds over the weekdays. The potential is huge with an open field in front of it.
