🏏Ireland vs India, 3rd T20I Venue: The Village, Dublin 🏏

India vs Ireland 3rd T20 Date, Time, Venue, Live Streaming, Squads, Live Scores, Highlights, and Everything You Must Know

India will take on Ireland in the third T20I of the three-match series today at the Malahide Cricket Club ground in Dublin.

Jasprit Bumrah's Team India will take on Ireland in the third and final T20I match at the Village Stadium in Dublin. India have never lost a T20I match to Ireland in their 7 previous encounters and have already won the series 2-0. They will look to sign off on the series with a 3-0 whitewash ahead of the Asia Cup 2023 tournament.

The Indian Cricket Team has remained unchanged in the first two T20s. However, as Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna are only back after long injury layoffs, head coach Sitanshu Kotak has hinted at more game time for the pace duo.

However, with the Asian Games 2023 being the next assignment for T20s, Team India are likely to hand over the team cap to Jitesh Sharma debut in the India vs Ireland 3rd T20.

Sanju Samson is likely to be rested from India's Playing XI.

Since his return, Jasprit Bumrah has bowled four excellent spells. In two matches, he has bagged 4 wickets at just 4.87 economy. While it is a good indication that he is ready for the more challenging and grueling Asia Cup 2023 in the humid conditions of Sri Lanka.

With Sanju Samson still fighting for a spot in the Asia Cup 2023, he got the nod recently. Now, that it’s confirmed, Sanju will be in the Asia Cup, although as a reserve, India can bring Jitesh Sharma in.

Sanju has blown hot and cold so far, with a 26-ball 40 in the 2nd T20. But despite what seemed to be a blazing knock, he did not have the flair.

A good batting surface but there could be a bit of rain around as well. It isn't likely to have a significant impact but might influence the decision at the toss.

India Playing XI: Jasprit Bumrah, Sanju Samson likely to be rested for IND vs IRE 3rd T20, Jitesh Sharma could debut in India vs Ireland

IND v IRE 3rd T20I Predicted XI

India - Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sanju Samson (wk), Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Jasprit Bumrah (C), Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna

While the visitors would find it difficult to make changes in the bowling department, the likes of Jitesh Sharma and Shahbaz Ahmed could be in the frame to get into the XI.

Ireland - Paul Stirling (C), Andrew Balbirnie, Harry Tector, Gareth Delany, Curtis Campher, George Dockrell, Lorcan Tucker (wk), Benjamin White, Joshua Little, Mark Adair, Craig Young

This is an opportunity for Ireland to hand a game to the likes of Ross Adair, Theo van Woerkom and Gareth Delany.

India vs Ireland, 2nd T20 Highlights: India defeat Ireland by 33 runs, take unassailable 2-0 lead in 3-match series | Cricket News - The Indian Express

What to expect:

With series in the pocket, India can give chances to the bench warmers.

While Bumrah and Prasidh have done well with the ball, the head coach wants to give them more game time. Hence, both are expected to start. That means, only one of Mukesh Kumar or Avesh Khan can make it to India's Playing XI for the 3rd T20 in place of Arshdeep Singh.

Jitesh Sharma could also be tried in place of Sanju Samson.

For the all-rounder slot, Shahbaz Ahmed has warmed the bench, with Washington Sundar getting the opportunity.

Shahbaz could take the spot from Washington Sundar.

As for the other positions, Rinku Singh and Tilak Varma will continue unless there are any niggles. Tilak has blown cold so far and will look to take his chances after a maiden ODI call-up. Similarly, Yashasvi Jaiswal has also failed so far and would like to make amends.

As for the third seamer role, it is likely that Arshdeep Singh will continue. However, Team India can also play one out of Bumrah or Prasidh in that place to give more game time.

The Village Ground Pitch Report

The pitch at The Village Ground is renowned for its equitable treatment of both batters and bowlers. The first-inning average of 152 suggests that there’s considerable opportunity for batters to establish their influence on the game. Nonetheless, it’s the bowlers who have succeeded in maintaining the game’s fascination, with a second innings average score of 134. The pitch tends to get slower as the match progresses, introducing greater challenges to run-scoring and bringing spinners into play during the later phases.

The batting order might remain unchanged, but Sanju Samson's role may be debated as he aims to secure a spot in the World Cup squad.

Arshdeep Singh's inconsistency may prompt consideration of Avesh or Mukesh Kumar. India's T20 squad appears to be shaping up, with Rinku Singh emerging as a strong finisher.

This series is the last bilateral T20 series before the one against Australia in November, offering an opportunity for emerging talents to make their mark.

Avesh Khan, Jitesh Sharma should get a chance, says former selector Sarandeep Singh

Former India selector Sarandeep Singh feels Avesh Khan and Jitesh Sharma should get a chance to play in the third T20I against Ireland. "I really want to see Avesh Khan play. He’s a good fast bowler, and I’ve mentioned before that he consistently performs well in domestic cricket and even in the IPL.

We’ve seen him play regularly and deliver excellent bowling performances. Even though we couldn’t give him a chance during the West Indies series due to the back-and-forth nature of the matches, we should certainly provide him with an opportunity here. Jitesh Sharma should also get a chance," Sarandeep Singh said on Jio Cinema.

Ireland captain Paul Stirling is fifth among the all-time T20I run-scorers, behind high-profile cricketers like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Martin Guptill and Babar Azam. He will overtake Pakistan captain Babar on Wednesday if he scores more than 77 in the third T20I against India.

Shivam Dube eyes big landmark

Team India all-rounder Shivam Dube (1935) needs 65 runs to complete 2,000 runs in T20s. Can Dube achieve this feat against Ireland in the third T20I on Wednesday?

Jasprit Bumrah on the mark

Team India skipper Jasprit Bumrah's economy rate in this series so far is just 4.88 - no other bowler has gone at under six an over. Bumrah has made a comeback for the Indian team after a break of almost 11 months in this series. Can Bumrah lead Team India to a series whitewash against Ireland today?

IND vs IRE highlights, Second T20I: Umran Malik closes out final over, India steals win against Ireland in a high scoring thriller - Sportstar

In the bowling department, even though Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna have bigger goals to focus on given they were picked in the squad for the Asia Cup, they would still most likely prefer getting more games under the belt having just returned to the national setup. That might keep Mukesh Kumar and Avesh Khan in the bench once again unless Arshdeep Singh makes way for one of them.

The hosts will also have some selection calls to make, especially with Harry Tector going through a dull run. Ross Adair, who made his debut earlier this year, is an exciting batter with an impressive strike rate of over 150 in T20 cricket. And if George Dockrell isn't going to bowl, Gareth Delany might fancy his chances.

The visitors are expected to stick to the batting lineup with no reserve batter available. The team management would anyway want the likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Varma to play as much as possible given all three will be in the frame to make it to the World Cup next year. However, with Shivam Dube and Washington Sundar not making much of an impact in the two games, there could be space for the likes of Shahbaz Ahmed and Jitesh Sharma to come into the XI.
