And if you think someone with 3 ATBBs is a flash in the pan then let me tell you nobody who has debuted in this century has even 1 ATBB between themselves including "Superstars" Hrithik Roshan & Ranbir Kapoor.

Sunny didn’t deliver 3 atbbs in a span of 20 years….he did so in a span of 40 years ….law of averages

box office numbers are facts, but one hit in 19 years does not write off the far better consistency that the others have had for 19 years

Ummm...what? There's been like 50,000 films been released since 2000 compared to 30 by Sunny Deol. How does the "law of averages" work in the fields favor? 😆

Look, Gadar made almost 2x the amount of money that Lagaan & DCH did combined. It's one of the most loved films of all time. Not only did it break all box office records but it has also stood the test of time, as we are witnessing. You're being dismissive towards a films achievements because you don't like it, which is fine but it doesn't change any of what I wrote above. I love Lagaan, DCH, Swades, Lakshya but when a box office portal writes an article, they only look at numbers & none of these films have it. Especially compared to a historical blockbuster like Gadar.

BOI would have to print a correction in 2025 if Farhans Don 3 overtakes Gadar 2😆

err hrithik and ranbir and Akhtar didn’t release 50000 films in 20 years …what even …u were comparing them to sunny by saying he’s greater than them…not me…

I didn’t dismiss anything …the article itself claims Gadar 1 was “ignored” and Lagaan and dch were hailed unnecessarily …
How can a film be most loved of all time and “ignored” ? If by ignored he means it wasn’t talked abt in the same regard as Lagaan and DCH, then there’s reasons for that as mentioned in my first post

I have nothing against Gadar or Gadar 2…it’s not my style of cinema but if it works great…what it’s not is a medium to diss other genres of cinema as being inferior …particularly given none of its crew are known for their filmmaking prowess or consistency at the box office
And have not made a name for themselves beyond the Gadar franchise (barring sunny up until the late 90s)

I said nobody who has debuted since 2000 has a ATBB between themselves including Hrithik & Ranbir. That includes the field....Ranveer, Shahid, the guy in your picture. Everyone!

Sunny Deol is one of the top 10 Superstars of all time. He has the same ATBBs as SRK(Pathaan, KKHH, DDLJ) & Salman(MPK, HAHK, BB) and these three are only behind Aamir all time(5). So "Made a name for himself" till the 90s is so disingenuous. Just as disingenuous as trying to judge his career in his late 50s & 60s.

I'm just going to leave it here....you're missing the whole point. You still believe that DCH had some cultural impact when it didn't. An Emraan Hashmi had more of a cultural impact in the mid 2000s when everyone was trying to copy his small budget success formula.
