After Rahul Arunoday Banerjee's death, his wife, Priyanka Sarkar, asked people to respect the family's privacy. The 43-year-old actor died after drowning in the sea at Talsari beach in Odisha while filming a TV show. The incident happened during an outdoor shoot near Digha. Banerjee went into the water for a scene and didn't come back, so the crew looked for him. He was missing for about an hour and a half before they found him and took him to Digha State General Hospital, where he was declared dead.

Following the news, Priyanka Sarkar posted a message on social media, discussing the loss and the attention it has received. "This is a time of profound sorrow and deep sadness for us. During this difficult time, we kindly ask for space and privacy. There is a child, a mother, a family, and loved ones who are trying to cope with this loss together.

She added, “We kindly urge our friends and colleagues in the media to respect our boundaries, refrain from intrusion, and allow us the dignity to grieve in peace. Your understanding and support mean more than ever at this time.

Who is Priyanka?

Priyanka Sarkar, a well-known Indian actress, is mainly recognized for her work in Bengali cinema and television. Born in Kolkata on December 31, 1990, she began her acting journey as a child artist at the age of 12 in 2003. She made her film debut in 2005 with 'Dadar Adesh,' co-starring Prosenjit Chatterjee. She gained popularity through several Bengali TV serials and achieved fame with the film 'Chirodini Tumi Je Amar,' alongside Rahul Arunoday Banerjee.

How Rahul died?

Banerjee was filming a television series when the incident happened at Talsari sea beach. His co-stars said the team had stopped for lunch, but the actor stayed to finish more shots.

His co-star Bhaskar Banerjee said he kept filming while others took a break. When he didn't come back, the crew and local technicians started looking for him in the water. After an extensive search, he was found and taken to the hospital, but they couldn't save him.

A West Bengal Police officer told PTI that the actor was pronounced dead after being rescued from a beach in Odisha, as reported by PTI.
