Our actresses have always worn sleeveless. In fact I saw more women on TV wearing sleeveless in 2000s and early 2010s than now. We used to have a lot of music channels in the 2000s from which first came VJs like Mahira, Mawra, Urwa, Syra, Madiha, Sanam Saeed. These VJs all wore fitted tees, tight jeans, sleeveless stuff on TV like it was normal. Mathira's dressing on her love show was very bold for that time. Look at Style Lux Award red carpets from 2000s and early 2010s - you will see mainstream actors wear sleeveless, gowns with plunging backs and cut outs, halter necks, etc. Koi hungama bhi nahi machta tha when we would see this pics in magazines. Since SM, actresses have become more careful of how they dress in public. Some have always been bin daas. Maybe it's changing again like you say.
