If BOI calls it a Hit, it will be known as a Hit for eternity.

Are they licensed or designated by the government? We all know the shenanigans surrounding both Brahmastra and Gangu as well. No one has ever doubted box office verdicts in the past, so we all know the truth. I don’t care even if Modi declares these films a hit, I won’t buy it

You buying or not buying it makes no difference. The biggest Indian TV Channels & newspapers quote Boxofficeindia's figures. Not Taran's, not the producers, not any other analyst. Fans on twitter also only consider their their figures legit during their dumb fanwars. So their verdict is considered final.

Couple of exerpts from the two biggest Indian newspapers. Enjoy!

On its second Tuesday, ‘Brahmastra’ (Hindi) added Rs 3.50 crore nett to its total collection, which now stands at Rs 187.50 crore nett, reports Boxofficeindia

As per BoxOfficeIndia.com, Brahmastra earned the nett figure of around Rs 11-11.25 crore on the fifth day from its Hindi version, and mentioned that the drop in the footfalls was mainly noticed in national cinema chains, in comparison to other theatres

You do realize that all these outlets can be purchased right? It’s all a part of the PR package. I have relatives in the industry so I know what I’m talking about. Nepo gang has openly said they bribe and arm twist narratives to elevate their movie collections. It’s not as if this is an army government agency or something that we “must” believe such websites. Everyone who isn’t blinded by PR knows what’s up

Ofcourse....and you can't put anything past Kjo. Everything is up for sale. But what I'm trying to say is that if BOI declares a film a hit, that's what the rest of the national media will go with & in turn the public. Hollywood has Boxofficemojo. Bollywood has boxofficeindia.

Yes but everyone still has autonomy and agency over themselves. I believe BOI about certain movies an I wouldn't call myself brain washed

Nepo and big stars. I don’t know what has happened to them they all seem insecure as hell to me. More than usual.

Proof of the pudding is in the eating. If Brahmastra had been a hit, neither KJo nor Disney would've ditched it.

Although BO numbers were there, I feel it's Ayan's careless spending which made the bottomline red. Corroborated by KJo himself as he mentioned something about budget being spread over 3 movies. Turns out not. 400 spend, 200+ sales means loss. A flop in strictly money terms.

It's a pity, though. Except for the hero/heroine, I really liked the setup. I was looking forward to Dev and Amrita's story, which promised to be meatier.
