314 crores! So it needs to collect at least 628 cr so that distributors/exhibitors breakeven.
You can't be serious, can't you??? Hate (if ever) should - at least - not shut down logic thinking...
I have no idea what any of this means because the film hasn’t even released yet, yo?
The movie's budget is estimated at 200-220 crore (in the range of Pathaan - which has become quite 'normal' for action- and VFX-heavy Mainstream movies)...still only a little part of what US action movies declare as budget...even web series if you consider Citadel).
I still get the feeling that it has become fashionable to bash Pathaan...none of those doing it here in the forum could tell me what exactly made the movie like what they call it (except for citing the scating scene - which tells me that they aren't familar with action movies)... some didn't even watch it (baring reportedly 5-10 min which is telling already).
I enjoyed it...it was fun...with some things not really part of general action movies because of very Indian/SRK-actuality. Honestly, those generic comments, I just shrug them off...they have no depth (if ever personal experience).
It's okay, negativity is just a part of the parcel 😊

It's never considered a good sign in the distributor circle if the makers sell Indian theatrical rights pre-release. While it's quite common for the Overseas Theatrical rights, it's very rare for the makers of big films to do this for Indian rights post 2000. Shows no conviction in their own product. Now it could just be risk management by Red Chillies by hedging their huge investment but it doesn't change the narrative.
Are you serious???!!! Please just think about your strange logic... (it's practice since looooong)
It is obvious, that those who give that money have confidence...so your personal confidence is of no importance.
And if ever Jawan would not deliver, you can bet that SRK would not hesitate a moment to offer repayment for losses.
Don’t tell me you are an SRK fan too 🤔
You need to clarify stupid gestures on whose part. Stop being so passive aggressiveOriginally posted by: Clochette
Giving a tag to Jawan is quite a stupid gesture, I think... the release is still one month away.
What the deals show (if the reported numbers are correct) is the professional position SRK has in the industry. It's already assured that the makers won't have a loss...everything that comes their way, will be a plus now (but that has nothing to do with box office and acceptance by audience and ultimate verdict 😉

Hate?
Exhibitors only get 50% of the share of tickets sold. So if they are buying for 314 crore, the movie needs to do business of 628 crores for them to recover their investment from tickets.

Fine! Keep it like that 😊
Mylord, it's better to laugh it off then ponder about it...(imo)
