Debates happen. It's a public forum. People have diff opinions. We have different styles and ways when it comes to debates. Some are to the point and savage, some articulate and some go for essays and then there are those with word salads like Deepika's interviews.

Up till now I thought basic awareness about humanity, race, sex equality is something you're just born with and I used to scroll past "gyaan" on social media and think duh, how is this not obvious to people already?!

Just goes to show, if we don't hold ourselves accountable to question, the inherent wisdom we naturally possess will chip away.

I think most of us have it but some of us never learn to question ourselves since cultural influences have a stronger hold on us. Others are capable but have a blind spot since placing blame is much easier. Even those that eventually learn how to will falter now and then. Then, of course the ones you mentioned…..those who fall into a pattern of complacency, ultimately degenerating within. I do not know the answer but I admire people who are intellectually honest, those who are able to easily fight internal biases in every situation. As for what I think, I think all we can really do at the end of the day is be better than yesterday. Not for anyone else but for our own conscience.

Yes, those days were something else, weren’t they? I remember them fondly. ❤️
