Why exactly was Pathan such a huge hit? - Page 7

Check Pathaan review thread, all reviews were positive from all the sides.

Most watched the movie in a houseful theater where people were cheering and whistling on each entry sequence and dialogues, the community experience is a massive advantage to the theater or social experience a human brain craves.

Masala movies are not made for brainstorming, Pathaan or any other masala movie promises you entertainment and they delivered it to their audience.

There were many factors of Pathaan being a massive hit

SRK's come back after 4 years

Before, Aryan's case, even I didn't feel like defending or saying anything in anyone's favour because I was over fanwars but Aryan's case assembled SRKians worldwide. Many of my SRKian friends who were busy with work/marriage/family called asking me if I am going to watch Pathaan, the awareness was there and the need to show our support to him was stronger than ever

After Besharam Rang controversy, even neutrals went to watch the movie because it was an FU to people in power 🤷‍♀️

I guess it doesn't matter what you or I think...those who revel in thinking that Pathaan's number are faked, will continue to do so...and we all know that it is of absolutely no importance what they think, because they don't know.

As for Kajol...no idea what her equation with SRK currently is...it wouldn't be the first time she says something a real friend like she had been wouldn't do...she may just repeat what her husband thinks (latter out of sheer jealousy)...Ajay and SRK - a genuine mutual dislike 😉

If people want to believe that somehow Bollywood, regional and international trackers all came together to lie about Pathaan's collections then they can be happy with this belief. People who said that SRK will be in a condition to sell Mannat if Pathaan fails are saying SRK bought tickets worth 20% of his Net worth, what can you do? You are in a world where failure makes people happy and if something didn't fail, it was all a lie

Okay.. Here I am ending the debate... Pathan was such a huge hit only bcoz I bought 3 tickets for a SRK movie after years... that too not for me but for my cousins.(I was never intereseted in the movie) 😆

The fact that Bollywood, Regional and International trackers reported 1000+cr number for Pathaan is not believable for them because suddenly, Kajol is the only believable trade analyst.

The same Kajol who congratulated SRK for Pathaan's success and called him the king

Imagine, there were contradictions in statement of one person in a single day and on the other hand, thousands of movie business trackers reported same number

Who is more believable?

Although Desai (from Film Companion) doesn't belong to the critics I cherish, he sometimes comes up with signs of perspicacity.

What I tried to highlight also in the discussion thread about Pathaan and the "easter egg" thread, he states in the interview posted on page 1.

The way Aditya and Siddharth and both the writers dessined the five main characters (Pathaan, Jim, Rubai, Nandini and Colonel Lutra) had been a political statement (among others)...and that in an action movie that didn't pretend to be 'deep' but meant for entertainment.

I got the feeling that the audience, too, made a statement...and I loved what they did ❤️
