I googled abt how Bheeshm allowed this to Duryodhan so it was written Duryodhan reminded him that he did same to Devi Amba so he shouldnt question him either

Thats what i said Swastik ka Karna prem😆they made 2 shows on him but cant make an authentic MB or Ramayan

Marriage by abduction was anyways a recognized practice back then, in fact Manusmriti says Rakshas vivah (marriage by abduction) is best suited for Kshatriyas. So I don't think Bheeshma would have had any objection to it. It's not just Bheeshm abduction of Amba Ambalika, Arjun too abducted Subhadra. And it was Krishna who advised Arjun to abduct her if he really loves her since in Swayamvar she might chose anyone. Krishna too abducted girls from Swayamvar. In fact Krishna's son Samb too tried to abduct Duryodhan's daughter Lakshmana but Karna +Duryodhan caught hold of him before he could leave. Balram then threatened to drown Hastinapur if Samb was not released then Duryodhan released him and got Lakshmana and Samb married (I personally think it had less to do with the threat and more to do with the fact that once abducted girl would find difficult to get another groom so better to marry her off in a respectable way. The girls married by family had higher stature than girls married by abduction. That's why even Yadavs got Subhadra back before they could marry and got them married by themselves)

I didn't mean there should be an issue with abduction, I meant Karna abducting the girl. A girl touched by other man, especially a non noble born like Karna would be a real challenge. Anyhow now that you explained it's clear he was just a support. Any abduction would have been done with help of soldiers just that we don't know much about them. Karna on the other hand is famous so he becomes forerunner, but practically he was only a soldier of Duryodhan.

Sorry for long Message

Regarding Swastik can't agree more, they are really fascinated by Karna, will show anything to justify him, I have nothing against writing from POV of antagonist. Every one has positive and negative trait, but then highlight theirs positives na don't uselessly try to justify their negatives. That is what differentiates between the great writers like Bhasa and Today's writers.

For example if you are writing for Duryodhan say that he was a better mace fighter than Bheem in final battle and was brought down by treachery. That's true

But then don't try to justify his Dyutsabha act by saying that he saw Draupadi all shouting and getting tired in there and noticed that there was no spare chairs so asked her to sit on his lap to comfort her.

Latter is a problem

I am good dear, how are you?🤗

Me too I always liked Karna, when I started reading about him, at first my mind tried to reject it, but when throughout we encountered the case, then realised how much wrongs we are fed.

I know I over exaggerated, but isnt it in the league of the what kind of whitewashing they do?

I mean Duryodhan didnt target onto the bird because he didn't want to harm a bird, he was opposed by Vyasa because he wanted to remove the Brahminical supremacy in caste system,

Karna called Draupadi a wh**e because Duryodhan forced him to, he never ordered for VH, one person actually told me, that Karna asked Draupadi to leave the arena (citing the statement of Karna where he asks Draupadi to go into the inner chambers of any of the Kauravas, I guess we all know what would have happened in those inner chambers)

And that irritates me to the core, make stories of how Duryodhan never thought anything against his brothers (Yudhisthir staked them), fought for them, respected the elders, stood for what he thought was right was a great king, an awesome friend etc, or on how Karna was a wit responder, quick planner, warrior, politician knew how to shut the other one down, I wouldn't mind, would love it rather. Focus more on their positives, but dont omit their negatives

Exactly its so strange how we want to believe in TV serials and never want to read the texts to realize what it is.
