You surely did, and get it there is a recent book on Duryodhan too, Ajaya-- the roll of dice.

There Duryodhan has been whitewashed with Tide, a price who is fighting Brahmins against caste discrimination. The child who denies to shoot arrow onto the eyes of a bird during the shooting test because he didn't want to hurt an innocent bird.

Loved Subhadra (both of them loved each other) but Arjun took her away. Like I never understood if these writers write the book or troll the readers

I also read the book Karna's wife nd if the person who dont knw abt MB nd read it will definitely come Karna's bhaktsmiley36

These ppl write such stuff to assume what if this happened nd not this nd some ppl find it true🤔 its not like anything will change from all this but they still write such stuff nd publish it making ppl confuse nd believe in whats false.

Yes he was in SPK and to top that, Shon was killed in SPK by forcing him drink molten gold because despite being Suta he apparently spoke some religious verses. Bheeshm and Vidur were both there when he was being killed in this. Other thing they showed Karna's uncle's hands were chopped of because he touched the weapons

Thats why I hate these retellings, they not just give a wrong picture of the epics, they paint our culture in the most brutal way, never claimed we were the best but they make our past sound like darkest of ages.

Yes my brother in law was actually a Karna Bhakt, he was surprised when I said Urvi is the imagination of this writer

What? Logic has left the chat.

Next they will show a triange story of Dhiridhirasta ,Kunti and Drona and Prem-sorry Pandu marrying her by force....what's this new madness of distorting ancient scripts?

Coming to Karna glorification that has been existing in the south for more than 50 years , NTR (Sr) acted as Karna in Telugu and glorified him as a hero who lost his way because of bad company and in Tamil Shivaji Ganesan played Karna , NTR played lord Krishna in that movie and during Karna's death scene Krishna breaks into a sad song of how Karna sided ( more like got trapped) with bad people to pay off the debrs of gratitude he owed to Duryodhan 🤦

Bold; This is just plain disgusting , i know that caste discrimination would've been thousandfold back then than it is today but not tothis level....

🤣

I wont be sure if they have such a love triangle, or maybe a love story of Ashwathama and Dusshala

About Karna's glorification, Rashmirathi is further old, around the time of independence. By the way in that movie NTR did a triple role of Krishna, Karna and Duryodhan, probably there was a scene where Karna and Duryodhan meet again in heaven (happily ever after) wasn't Durtyodhan too non nehgative there?

As I said that is my problem with such retellings. How can they even show such insensitive things which demean our culture to much severe extent.

And to top that, Sutas are actually assigned to recite the religious verses, the entire of story of Mahabharat as we know was narrated by Soot Ugrashrava to Rishsi Shaunak (he heard Vaishampayan while latter was narratinng to Janmejaya)

It's been a long time since i saw that movie so my memory is fuzzy....also NTR loved to play Villian roles back then so wouldn't be suprised if Dury was extra negative...he also played Ravan in some movie i think...

But if Dury was extra negative then how come he reached heaven and that too it was like a surreal ending with two friends eventually reuniting without any challenges they faced on earth

But maybe I just read a brief story, they could have shown Dury in some other way.

Telugu industry was very close to Hinduism till recent past, but lately, I think post 90s they are also making money mocking Hinduism
