Anyways I would try and watch Vanshaj on TV mostly but most likely cricket will take over. Cricket has started and it will he non stop now.

I was referring to the people of Hastinapur only , the common people would've never seen vasudev and they might've not known the story of Suryadev until the war was over....or was it common knowledge among citizens of Hastinapur that Kunti bore children of Gods?

BRC Karna also was indebted to Duryodhan and did support him many a times unwillingly, however they still showed the friendship as equals, like he saying I dont support this thing and am going on only because you said so.

There was such a beautiful scene when Karna gets to know his Kunti connection, he reaches out to Duryodhan mid night (Dury was sleeping) just to promise his loyalty, Duryodhan was confused as why tell this mid night. But he still continued, and then Duryodhan despite not really understanding what has happened realised that Karna is in mental trauma, he just holds him up without a word. Small scene but so well emoted by both that I still recall it.

Here Karna Scolded Duryodhan at times, even at the end they showed Duryodhan breaking down at his death.

Star Mahabharat just made a mockery of their relation, Duryodhan was mostly mentally manipulating Karna, forcing him to support with one scene where he asks him to let go the voice of his soul for him (BRC one just like real Duryodhan never forced Karna to support him in lieu of his helps), and then saying Karna was a betrayer at his death. I never got any friendship vibe from them

Oh my mistake I thought you meant the viewers of the movie in 1958

Kunti bore children of Gods was always a common knowledge but yes Karna's birth was a secret with only Bheeshm, Krishna and later Karna, Dhritarashtra and Sanjay getting to know about it. Common people only knew when the war was over...

About Hastinapur people I dont think they would have seen Krishna many at times, and Karna was way too elder so maybe they couldnt realise

I remember that show, never watched it, but saw the promo.

Was he a lead there? I think maybe a cameo or side character
