Perhaps she was secretly happy that Maya took CA because she never really wanted to parent her. Going to America to fulfill her dreams made her look good. yes ,Even Maya herself admitted that she has utilized her daughter in claiming her authority and snatching Anupama's husband while Anupama gave love and affection to her daughter.
