Part 13:
Next day...
Maan finished his work early and was heading home to spend some quality time with his wife, which he couldn't do all this while because of his workaholic nature.
He received a call while he was driving and immediately took the call seeing the caller ID
"Hello Dr."
"Maan, immediately aap aur aapke wife honeymoon per jaye." Adi started without exchanging any pleasantries, as if he would forget what he was to say.
On the other hand Maan was surprised hearing that. "Whatt?"
"That's the best solution. Aapki har problem ki, aap dono ek dusre ke bare mai jane kiliye this is the right thing."
The conversation ended with Maan thanking Adi for the suggestion and later thinking that why didn't he get this idea before. Neither the less they can still go
He with out a second thought called Geet
"Hello!!"
"Geet...amm..hum kuch din keliye Switzerland jarahe he..get ur passports ready."
"But" Geet tried interrupting as Maan announced it out of nowhere. Whereas Maan ignored that and continued
"Ok. Another 20minutes I will be home."
"Ok."
"bye"
After the call ended Geet was left in a turmoil. She couldn't deny Maan but with Jessie always lurking around and the death threat he gave was still fresh in her mind. No, this was leading no where but to dead end. She will confide in Maan about Jessie, believing her or not would be left to him. If he chooses to leave her she would be more than willing to free him from this relation and see him happy, than to be the reason of his death which would be nothing but the end of herself.
She had already lost her beloved friend Shilpa, now she in no matter would lose Maan too.
Making up her mind she waited with baited breath for Maan to return, which never happened but received a call from an unknown number after 1hr. The information she got from the other end shook her entire existence. While she collected herself and made a dash to the destination driving Maan's other car, dreading her nightmare coming true.

Maan after cutting the call smiled to himself, thinking of the time they would spend together. He scratched his head smiling sheepishly, once in a while thanking Adi for the idea he gave, not knowing that the very idea had intensified someone's anger and hatred towards him.
Maan had to take a right turn, and turned the steering wheel but it didn't move. He held the wheel with both his hands and tried again but it went in vain. A sudden panic rose in him.
He didn't understand what went wrong suddenly to the all good steering wheel, it felt as if someone had held it in a tight grip and the cars were honking from behind, seeing the way Maan's car was going in the middle of the road.
He nearly missed two vehicles from the opposite side by forcefully pulling the wheel.
"Wha..what's wrong with this.." the car had picked up speed too.
"Steering he aatak gaihai." next that was heard was the loud honking of a truck which came from the left side of the cross road and hitting Maan's car from the left. Though the truck driver tried stopping by applying breaks at the sudden arrival of a car but the heavy vehicles breaks took time to actually stop, by that time Maan's car was dragged a few meters and Maan was pushed against his side of the car door, then the car went spinning round and round, finally coming to an halt after a flip. The left side of the car was damaged badly and Maan's seat was pushed back. Maan's right shivering hand filled with his blood rose as of holding on to something only to fall lifeless on the car door. The onlookers eyes went wide filled with horror and he was immediately rushed to hospital.

Geet madly made a dash searching for the ward no. with tears running down. She didn't care for the looks she got all the way. She pushed open the door barging in, her phase slowed down seeing him alive. She didn't knew if she should thank God for saving him or curse herself for ever entering his life.
With slow steps she reached near Maan, who was half lying on the hospital bed in the green hospital gown. He had a bandage on his forehead and had his right hand fractured and a string around his shoulder held his right hand. Maan's face looked worn out and pained because of the impact.
The pearls rolled out of her eyes uncontrollably which pained Maan a lot than his injuries would.
He raised his other hand with difficulty trying to comfort her
"Nothing to worry, bass choti choti se chot hai. Dr. ne kaha he ki teen char din mai discharge kardenge."
She brought her hand to touch Maan's bandaged hand but withdrew it. She couldn't muster up her courage to touch him as she dreaded Jessie to be behind Maan's this condition. Nope she was not worried about Jessie but her being the reason that her loved ones life is in danger.
"Ye sab kaise hua?" though she knew that Jessie was the reason, she wanted to know what had actually happened and how low had he stooped this time.
"Pata nahi kaise hua. Turning mai steering ghumarahi ti lekin...something went wrong..it didn't turn...left se lorry aaye aur small accident hogai."
Geet looked horrified as she could clearly visualize Jessie sitting on the passenger seat and holding the steering wheel and Maan all the while trying to get it under his control. Her hand unconsciously held on to her mangalsutra,
"Ye sab meri wajhe se hora hahe (Maan looked at her confused) meri wajhe se ye sab hora hahe Maan. Aap please mujhe choodkar kissi aur se shadhi kijiye..please. Agar meri sath rahege to aap chain se nahi rehpaoge."
She spew out the words which she herself didn't like. But for Maan, his life and his happiness she forced it out of her.
While Maan sighed in anger hearing her say that,
"Common Geet, koi technical problem hui hogi..how will you be the reason for it.?" Maan tried to put some sense into her but he didn't knew the reason that made her speak like this
"Aap samaj nahi raha hai...lekin mujhe maloom hai ki yaha kya horaha hai...aur kiski ki wajhe se horaha hai."
She said the last words with disgust, with tears rolling down continuously. While Maan was utterly confused with her words,
"Hum Switzerland Gitzerland kahi nahi jaa rahe hai. Meri wajhe se aap ki jaan katre mai nahin hona chaaye.."
Maan didn't knew what to make out of her words and to it as her disinterest to go with him, meanwhile a doctor came around to check Maan and the conversation was left there it self.

Next day, in the morning
The doctor was changing Maan's bandages and checking him. All the while Geet stood at a distance fearing that if she would go near him, he would be troubled. But she was attentive and mediated carefully at the things going on.
Maan smilied and blinked at Geet who was worried, assuring her that he was doing better.
It was afternoon, when Geet returned from home changing into fresh pair of clothes and a bag. She was startled seeing the bed empty, and was about to enquire about it. But sighed a relief as she saw him walking into the room with the support of a temporary crutch and a nurse. Maan smiled seeing her, he was about to keep his next step but twisted his ankle and was about to fall. Maan closed his eyes tightly, expecting a hard fall on the floor, right on his face and mentally preparing himself for staying at the hospital for some more time but he felt a soft touch holding his left hand and a palm on his chest. He opened his eyes to see a pair of hazal doe shaped eyes starring at him worriedly and supporting him from falling. She put his left hand around her shoulder and lead him towards the bed. She carefully settled him down and thanked the nurse who smiled sweetly at the lovely couple and excused herself.
Geet took out the tiffen carrier, she had brought and the light nutritious food she had specially perpared for Maan. She washed her hands and settled herself down on the chair beside Maan with his food.
Maan was confused seeing it, there was a canteen in the hospital itself they could have just ordered whatever they needed, why did she took the pain of cooking. Neither the less he was very happy that he could have some tasty food as he was fed up of eating the bland tasteless food of the hospital..yuck..
"I know what you are thinking..zyada mat soochiye...meri hote huye aap ko aise khana khane nahi dungi." Geet said as if reading his mind.
She held the morsel of food near his mouth while Maan happily took it, he felt as if his dead taste buds came alive. After feeding him, Geet washed her hands and wipped his mouth, she handed him a glass of water and the medicines that he must take, while he made a yuck face as the tablets would turn his tongue dead with it's bitterness again. He took it unwilling seeing Geet glare at him, she looked like she would forcefully shove them into his mouth.

Hi everyone... Extremely sorry for the prolonged delay.. My exams are starting next week, so you all might have experienced how the last three to four weeks will be. Teaches running around to finish their syllabus with extra classes, assignments, seminars, tests, practicals, records and day to day works.. Even my Sunday's went off doing either of the above..and I didn't get time to update..sorry.
