The Khans weren't successors neither... they just had special positions in the Hindi filmstarsystem, imo.

Vicky, Ranbir and Ranveer already are stars but with another kind of reflection in the society as it was the case with the 3 Khans in a time when media-presence changed through the rise of social media where each of the three had a different role, too.

What I find much more interesting is the fact that Vicky, Ranbir and Ranveer have as much very distinctively different star-personas as it is the case with the three Khans.

what a beautifully thought out and written post but other than ranbir in barfi and yjhd , none of the three have the charisma or star power of the khans. None of ranveer's movie have any repeat value, neither do any of Vicky's movies. you can watch srk, salman and aamir movie 10x and not get bored.

Vicki is a good actor but putting him with rk and ranveer is a big stretch. His pr does a great job by dropping him in the competition between the other 2
