Part 11
Hi everyone, a 10 pages assignment was assigned on Sunday afternoon when I was typing half way through the update. It was to be submitted in three days, so I was not able to update that day. I'm sorry for that.
Part 12:
"Aab kaha Shilpa beta. Kal Delhi se ghar aate waqt uski accident hogaye. Aur aab wo iss dhuniya mai nahi rehe."
Next the line went dead and the phone which Geet held fell down. She covered her mouth with her hands horrified.
Geet's whole body trembled with shock, realising who could be responsible for Shilpa's accident
"Mathlab...mujhe aur Maan ko ek karne keliye... Shilpa ko..." She was cut as someone zoomed behind her. She turned back to find non. But she knew that he was here.
Her nightmare was back and now there was no escape from this.
She looked around and the very next second the night lamp on the bed stand burst and caught fire.
While Geet covered her ears and eyes out of shock and screamed. This was something that she had not expected.
There was another blast behind her and the curtains covering the balcony door caught fire. She stepped a little bit away from the place looking at the burning curtain and lamps
Next second she heard the ticking of fingers, Jessie walked in with a straight face from the room entrance. Geet turned around to face the most disgusting face of her life. Jessie's real avatar was something that had always scared the wits out of her. She had her mouth covered by her hands in an attempt to stop the erupting sobs. He looked at her and tears rolled down Geet's eyes as she recalled what had happened to Shilpa.
Geet was overcome by pain of losing her best friend and hatred for Jessie who stooped so low of killing an innocent life.
Jessie came and stood casually near her like nothing happened and Geet stepped back
"Kyuu? Bolo kyu....kyu mardiya usko? *sob* Shilpa to meri he waje se margaya.. Kyu kiya aise..bolo..javab do."
"Mai tumko kabhi nahi choodungi...mai tumko kissi keliye be nahi choodungi Geet.. Kissi keliye be nahi...hum dono ke beech chaye joo be aajaye, mai kissi ko zinda nahi choodungi."
Geet was terrified hearing this, 'Where on earth was she stuck' tears of helplessness rolled out.
"I love you Geet"
The words pierced her like needles, that was one thing that she now hated hearing from him, she got triggered. With all the anguishness, pain, agony and hatred in her, she screamed
"I HATE YOU" this made made him furious
"I love you Geet"
"I HATE YOU"
This time he lost his cool, he raised his voice and his hands
"I LOVE YOU GEET" the other remaining tubes, bulbs, framed painting and curtains in the room blew up and caught fire on after the other.
*BOOM...BOOM...BOOM*
The sudden indirect attack made Geet jump out of her place.
She put her hands on her ears to block out the horrifying sounds from the surrounding.
Jessie's eye caught the sight of the mangalsutra hanging proudly on her chest, indicating whom she belonged to.
That very site burned him, he looked up at her and said with a sly smile
"Next..tumhara pati.."
Hearing this Geet's eyes widened, whole body went numb, cold shivers went down her spine.
She tried speaking something but felt darkness consuming her and she blanked out. She fell on the side of the bed like the previous night.
"Shhhh..." Jessie disappears.

That evening,
Maan entered into the flat and was horrified seeing the state of the house
He keeps his bag down and closes the door murmuring
"O my God"
He looks around to see the table fan lying on the ground, the papers scattered, dustbin lying on the ground with the contents of it on the ground, magazines thrown mindlessly..
The whole place looked as if it was hit by a storm. He called out
"Geet.."
Upon getting no response he got worried and ran to their room all the way looking here and there , calling out her name
"Ge.."
Once he reached their room the horrible site welcomed him.. He didn't get the head or tail of how it all happened
"Ooo..shit." Geet was lying like the way she was in the morning.
"Phirse kya hua?"
He went near her and shook her holding her shoulders
"Geet.. Geet.. Kya hua...Geeeet." she slowly opened her eyes, Maan lovingly cupped her face
"Kya hua?"
Geet opened her eyes to find a worried Maan before her
Maan turns around pointing out to the mess in the room
"What's all this.!!"
Geet turned around in her place looking behind her and everywhere in the room.
Which Maan found wierd, he saw pain and fear in her eyes.. But why? He saw her turning back and looking at him helplessly before lowering her lashes
"Geet..Are you ok?"
To which she nodded her head and with great difficulty said a yes.
Before he could ask anything further, the door bell rang Maan left to see who it was
"Ek minute."
Geet nodded her head.
He opens the door and a man greets him.
"Hi Maan."
"Hi"
"If you don't mind..can I speak to you for five minutes please.."
Maan hesitates, "Aa..actually.." slightly turning towards the inside, realizing the state the house was in
"Yaha nahi, bahar.."
While walking down the stairs
"Mmm..Maan. aaj do pair ke aas paas, aapki ghar se kuch cheekne ki chillane ki avaz aarahi te... Aas paas ki flat ki log mujhe complaint kar rahi ti. Bache, aurate sab dar gaye hai.. Hmm.. So aap dono ke beech jo kuch be jagade ya ladai ho.. aap please ghar ke bahar solve kijiye. Please. Sirf itna he kehna ta."
Night...
Maan remersses the conversation he had while changing the burnt bulbs and curtains with the new ones in the room. While Geet was busy in the kitchen.
He leans on his right hand facing the balcony door, pondering what was wrong.
"Geet aise kyu behave kar rahi hai.. Iss sab keliye ek solution doondna chaye.. Yes I will get to the bottom of all this."
Deciding on what he was thinking he turned around, when Geet appeared infront of him with a cup of coffee.
She forwarded it to him and he took it with a "Thank you."
After few seconds he continued
"Geet..hum kal meri friend ki ghar ja rahe hai. please. Get ready in the morning." saying this he walked out.
While Geet was left worrying about the death threat Jessie gave.

Next day, both arrived at Maan's friend's house.
Adi was humming a tune and preparing the coffee. After pouring it into two cups he casually took out a strip of small pills from his pocket and put one of it into the cup to his right.
He left with the tray to the hall
"Nayi jodi..ghar to aagai hai...issi waqt meri biwi be chalegai." he said it as though his wife was no more
"Haa?", "Kya?"
Maan and Geet who were sitting quietly looked up startled.
"Mera mathlab hai ke, mujhe chood ke kaam keliye nikal gai." he said forwarding the tray to them and saw Maan taking the one (with the tablet) that was meant for Geet.
"Wo nahi, issko lo."
"Oh ok."
"Thank you." Geet took the other one.
"Maan" he called taking a seat before them "Hmm"
"Jo be kaho.. Mard keliye kaam hona chaye, nahi to aurat ke saamne bezathi hogaye ge. *he sees Geet looking down, and while taking off his specs he signals Maan* usska dekhabhaal be mujhe hee karana padta hai." he referred to his one year old, who was playing in front of the room, alone.
Maan got up placing the cup on the table
"Mai usse bath kar ke aati hu."
"Pehle wo kaam karo." Maan left taking the baby into the room.
"I and Maan, are very old friends.."
Adi started introducing himself and Geet smiled listening to him.
"Mere bare mai Maan aapke sath kuch nahi bola hai na! Saale kahe ga kaise...shaadi keliye he nahi bulayata."
Geet didn't knew how to react, seeing Geet quite
"Geet, aapke bare mai kuch kahiye. Kaha se ho? Kya padai ki hai aap? Maan ko kyu pasand ki tee??"
After a second "Mai Shimla se hu..."
Some time passed, Maan in the room was now and then checking his watch. Geet in the hall answering the questions Adi asked.
After sometime she felt uneasy, like her eyes were dropping. Next second she leaned back on the sofa and went to sleep.

Maan and Adi move out to the balcony of his room.
"As a doctor, aapki wife ko aise koi psychiatric problem nahi hai. She is very perfect. *Maan sighed a breath of relief* lekin..can I ask you a question personally?"
"Yes doctor."
"Ghar mai aap dono kaise hai. I mean shaadi se pehli aap unke ke bare mai kitne jaante hai?"
To which Maan slightly smiles
"Agar saach kahu to..abhi tak humari first night he nahi hua hai...mai Geet ko uske photo dekh ke he pasand kiya. After that we got married in a short spam time."
"Can there be something that had transpired in her life?"
"Mathlab?"
Adi had got that something was a miss. But not exactly, as of what.
"Mathlab ki..mujhe be kuch pata nahi chal raha hai."
Adi hesitated, well he himself was not sure what could have happened, so it would not be right telling about what he doubts and worsening the situation.
But Maan was quick to analyze what was Adi intending
"Sir, mai Geet ko bohat pasand kar ke shaadi ki hai..meri aakri saas tak ussi se pyaar karungi. Geet ki jeevan mai, shaadi se pehle chaahe kuch be hogay ho. I will still accept her."
Adi got the answer he wanted, he smilingly says
"Good, very good. Aab aap usse ghar leja sakte hai. Kal mai aapko call karungi."
"Thanks."
