I was wondering why no one raised objection to Sita's revealing clothes and no sindoor or mangalsutra or toe rings or aalta in promos of Adipurush earlier.

This is the most 'exposed' Sita I have seen in an Indian film.

I'm never the one to get offended for religious reasons but yes this was revolting. I can't believe it never occurred to anyone on the sets that this was a really bad potrayal of Sita. The irony is that people made a big deal of Munawwar Farooqi writing a joke where Sita swears but now all kinds of pervs are going to google screencaps of Kriti Sanon in Aadipurush and j#ck off to Sita Mata's tatas. Disturbing in more than one way.

They just wanted to entice youth and make a hot beefcake Ram and hot Sita, hence choice of a sex symbol and non actor like Kriti as Sita and making her dress the way she did.

Most BW walas view Ramayana and Mahabharat as potential for hot stuff or masala.

With themes of revenge, lust, maternal love, romantic love, sibling rivalry or love etc.

They do not see it as religious text or philosophical etc.

I also think many fiction writers do same and many versions or translators or painters also use Hindu mythology as source of masala.

Hence those fantasies and fan fic of say, Draupadi secretly in love with Karna or Karna in love with Draupadi etc.
