WHAT IS MURTASIM ORIGINAL SIN?

Meerab genuinely loves only two things one is Murtasim and other is her grudge against him, love him or hate him, he is her solution and her problem. Her grudge is years in the making, long before they were married, and it has blinded her love for him. Murtasim is losing to her grudge not to her. What is the source of this grudge is a mystery, I have one possible theory?

In episode 35 Meerab says to Haya he didn’t marry me for his mother, so why does she think he married her? She was very confident that once she said yes to the marriage he will say yes too, what made her believe that? She calls her marriage a saazish, including him in this saazish, what is this saazish? Murtasim tells Meerab on their wedding night that marrying her was his majboori, what was his majboori? He only asked her only one question before consenting to marriage, he asked her ‘do you still hate me’, what did he ever do to her to make her hate him? She said on their wedding day the contract was her sazaa for him marrying her, but she asked him to marry her so why is she punishing him?

All these questions point towards one thing Murtasim had feelings for Meerab before marriage and she knows this. If Meerab was aware of Rohail’s feelings who she has known only for 2 years, then she has known Murtasim all her life. We get multiple hints of the past from Saba saying Murtasim was always crazy for Meerab, his behaviour at her 21st birthday party was of a jealous boyfriend, his protective instincts for her he flinches when Waqas raised his hand on her, his initial reaction at the engagement announcement betrayed his real feelings for her, his over-the-top indignant outburst at Meerab being a possible orphan. However, the way Meerab dealt with his feelings was throwing unprovoked hate on him, did she try to infuriate him on purpose to squash his hopes. She had a specific plan for her life and that plan did not include him.

The biggest hint on the past is in episode 27, when Murtasim talks to his mother he sounds apologetic for loving Meerab, why would he feel sorry for falling in love with his own wife unless his feelings started when she was not his wife. He says he didn’t do it on purpose as if committing a crime, if he loved her before marriage then by his own code of rules that is a sin as she was off limits. He continues with I couldn’t stop myself from falling loving in with her, again why would a husband want to stop himself from loving his own wife, this is a natural part of a happy married life. He says even if she made him sign 1000 contracts he still would not leave her, if he was that deeply in love on their wedding day then his feelings must be years in the making it can’t be instantaneous attraction. Meerab is his majboori he married her because he loved her.

In episode 7, When Meerab and Murtasim agreed to marry each other, she says she doesn’t hate him, and she meant it. But later Meerab overhears MB and Maryam conversation that everyone knew about her real parents except her, Meerab is shocked, in this everyone Murtasim is included too. This is betrayal of the highest order it compounds her belief that no one truly loves her and Murtasim is playing games with her. Everything that goes wrong from then on will be because of this horrific misunderstanding, she conceives the idea of the contract at this stage and will punish him for life. The contract, her inability to trust his love and accept her own feelings for him, is because she falsely believes he schemed to marry her.

From Meerab’s POV those who claim to love her took pieces of her life, used her, and threw her away when they were done with her. Waqas and anila couldn’t have children of their own so she was a stand in child for them to fulfil a desire, as soon as she was out of the house they packed away her memories and put it in the storage room. Whatever realization of deep fatherly love Waqas had later doesn’t redeem why he didn’t fight the powers that wanted to marry off his only daughter before she was ready. Highlighted in episode 1 Waqas doesn’t fight for lost causes, Meerab was a lost cause to him, and he did not stand up for her scared of losing. Before his death he realized his mistake, but it was too late for redemption. He damaged her forever when he shut the doors on her face as she begged them for one final goodbye, but he didn’t give her that closure, and when he died, she wasn’t there to bid him farewell. I would have said Karma is a bitch, but this is tragic there are no winners.

MB less said about her the better, it felt like she thought Meerab was special, her saazish to find the perfect match for her sher beta with a bonus of keeping the money in the family, however contract revelation killed what little affections she had for Meerab. Anwar wanted her back not as his daughter but as Murtasim’s wife, his saazish to fulfill some grand khandhan plan and promise to his dead brother. Murtasim knew the truth about her parents, his saazish was he acted on his feelings for her to trap her in marriage. In episode 30 when they talked about love she tells him to get true love you must suffer for it, he didn’t fight for her he took the easy route, plotted, and schemed to have her thus his love is false. He just wants to possess her and when he has his way with her, he too will throw her away.

The simple question is why doesn’t she just confront him. That is the conflict in Meerab she trusts him, her Murtasim never lies and this is why she will not ask him because she is afraid of the answer. If the answer is no, he didn’t know beforehand then she must find another to target to vent her frustrations, if the answer is yes, then that is even worst for her. She is the angriest with him as she loves him the most and she expected that he will be the last person that would deliberately hurt her. Even before marriage they shared a bond, there was trust between them and that trust got damaged.

She has monologues in episodes 14, 38 about her feelings for Murtasim. She says I could never like ‘YOU’, I could only hate ‘YOU’, I could never love ‘YOU’, I will never believe in ‘YOUR’ words. Her stressing the word ‘YOU’ reflects that she is accusing him of a specific crime that goes beyond just forced marriage, this is a personal charge against him, he has done something that she can’t forgive him for. The way Meerab loves is, if someone commits a crime against her not only will she not forgive them she invalidates their love for her. Thus because of her inability to forgive him, she disregards his love and ran away from her feelings for him, but the faster she ran the pull of fate became stronger.

His betrayal suppressed her feelings for him but couldn’t kill the love. This struggle within her made her hot and cold, she could never bare to hurt him, but she couldn’t embrace him either. He understood her torment of losing her identity and her dreams, hence his patience but he never understood the source of her real anger so he couldn’t really help her not in the way she needed to be helped. The more she fell in love with him the greater her internal struggle and it made her more and more volatile, but she managed to maintain her inner pace if she had him. But when he lost his mental balance, it tipped her over the edge with disastrous consequences post episode 46.

Beautifully explained Gunn🤗❤👏👏...... Murtasim always loved meerab from the beginning of this story , i always felt that too......and meerab was always aware of this very well......thats why when Murtasim apologized about his mother coming to their room she told him k tumhare dil ki muraad hamesha poori ho jaati hai on their wedding night...

Bold- exactly 👍...one can easily calculates and understand about Murtasim s feelings from his behavior when anything is related to meerab...the Haqq on meerab from his side was always there.

Underlined- destiny s cruel play with meerab and Murtasim

Bold+underlined- that is the hidden fact and force behind meerab s behavior towards Murtasim ,she loves him but will fight with here own feeling till end not to love Him/ to tell him that she loves him.

I think that was said out of spite? If you notice the birthday sequence, he is way too possessive for someone who is indifferent. When MB asked him again, he always stated that Meerab won’t agree. He was always ready.

Meerab sleeps on the bed that is always changing, bed is Murtasim.

Murtasim sleeps on the Sofa it never changes, sofa is Meerab.

They are metaphorically sleeping with each other without sleeping in the same space.

Hands is their autobiography. Mirror is their signature

HANDS HANDS CHEMISTRY

Their hands tell its own story, physically she is the beauty to his beast, symbolically she is the beast he has to tame in his beautiful love.

Her hand is just right the right size, it is soft, plump, gentle.

His hand is large, powerful, protective.

He assures her with his strength, while she comforts him with her cool touch.

He holds her gently, but it is not careless, it is warm, secure and it makes her feel safe.

Her paleness of skin says she is untouched by the world, she hasn't really lived not like he has.

His darker skin tone veiny hands shows he has faced harsher weathers, he built those hardy hands with blood, sweat and tears.

Despite the projection of might he is vulnerable he seeks her comfort, she is his rock.

He lost the camera he held with interest, he was then forced to hold a gun, now he holds his love Meerab but to keep holding on to her he stands to lose it all.

She had books and dreams in her hands, she reluctantly held his hand but when she takes his hand with love she will lose nothing.

When Murtasim drags Meerab away as he so often loves to do

It is aggressive yet controlled, never abusive

It feels passionate and betrays fear of losing her or wanting to save her from herself

It screams domination with a seal of approval from her

Loved this analysis on their hand chemistry 😍😍

Red: The way you have described them.. just wow!! ♥️♥️♥️

This is beautiful, as always. Ironically, this is the scene that sold TB to me. This scene was the third or fourth clip of TB I watched and I knew I had to know their story.

I was trying to remember my most favourite scenes of TB and voila! you have given this beautiful insight to one of my absolute favourites.

I always wanted to analyse what is going on in Mutrasim's heart when their eyes met at that moment, as this is the acute moment where he fell deeply for her. So here is my attempt to take on his heart.

Eyes meet mine and the world fades away

A crushed heart with lost magic beneath it lay

The cacophony of your soul making the hope sway

Resonates deep across my world

Without a single word you say.

You have my heart I never knew

All my hopes begin and end with you

Like the rising sun that spreads a rosy hue

My heart says either all of you will be mine

Or piece by piece I will lose myself in you.

Here in my heart forever you will be

Nothing but you, I will always want to see

Deep in my veins your love will run free

Oh, my beloved I hope one day

You would listen to my heart’s plea.

You are the storm that I will chase till the end

The dream I would cherish despite all the pain

I look through your eyes and know for sure

There is a fire setting your heart ablaze

That only I could contain.

The world might be broken, but I’ll make you whole

Hold on to me tighter, I will sail us to the shore

Love me one day forever and more

A glimmer of hope that drive me through

‘Cos I know that I can never let you go.

This poem is so beautiful!! It really captures their emotions 🥺♥️♥️♥️

This is beautiful ❤️❤️

I always felt that Murtasim liked her before they got married and Meerub also knew about his feelings. This write-up gives more clarity.

Thank you for this 🙏

What happened after SEX? DECODE THE MONOLOGUES (Ep 47,48,49,50)

Two things are true for Murtasim one is when he is in emotional turmoil he runs away from Meerab and the other is Meerab will be his wife Qayamat tak. Both these scenarios cannot peacefully co-exist, something is got to give. He has made this mistake 4 times now; after the second car accident he is in agony doesn’t want to expose himself in front of her so he deals with it by telling her to get lost, after rohail fiasco in karachi he is looking to run away again, her Maryam betrayal did maximum damage to him it killed a part of him so he just cannot have her around him until he forgives her so he sends her off, and now after sex that made neither of them happy he runs away yet again. You can only make the same mistake so many times before it comes back to bite you in the ass. He has been playing catch and catch with her so far, guess what his lady love has changed the game to hide and seek now.

His monologue is relatively easy to understand. Murtasim gave into his desires after she made the first move, the timing couldn’t be more wrong, and he should have known better. He hurts the hand that he uses to protect her, the hand is an extension of himself which failed in protecting her from herself. They are the hands-hands couple, hand is the autobiography to their romance and now it is bleeding damaged like their bond. He feels guilty, ashamed, defeated by his failures he can’t process all these negative emotions around her, so he does what he always does he takes a time out, BIG MISTAKE.

Meerab’s 3 monologues go through 3 stages, first he left me alone screw him Astalavista baby, second oh nooooo what have I done yes yes yes this is the correct decision, and finally where is Murtasim he should have found me by now I will continue to play hide and seek this is my favorite game.

The previous 3 times it was Meerab who stood her ground and came back to him because Meerb the wife will always come back to Murtasim. She had fulfilled her wedding vow to him to place him above herself, which is her ego and return to him even if he walked away first. She couldn’t do that this final time because Murtasim wasn’t in the room when she needed him the most destroying Meerab the wife. With the wife gone someone else who took over and this new Meerab is a clean slate she belongs to no one. Irony of what is happening is he begged her to put herself first so that she can take care of him, and when she finally does, she does it in the cruelest way possible by cutting him off.

In episode 38 when she first started to realize her feelings for him, what does she do she goes to the man himself to clear her doubts. Murtasim is the light in her life, he is her guide and in turn she shows them the way forward. Murtasim wasn’t there to comfort her after sex, turned his back on her and her mind slipped into the abyss. Without his support she can’t come to terms with what she did, with what happened to her and the whole situation. She just did what he always had done she took time out; the difference is it will take her longer than him to return.

Mirror is signature to their romance, whenever she stood in front of the mirror after marriage he had always been there, and if she ever looked in the mirror by herself, she is thinking about him. She lied to the whole world that she didn’t love him, but facing herself in the mirror alone without him her thoughts are focused on herself and her actions. She can’t lie to herself anymore that she loved him, desired him, and slept with him. So, Meerab what is the problem?

Nowhere in her monologues she is blaming him, she is only questioning herself. She is questioning her actions, her feelings for him, the conditions on which her marriage happened. Two things she decided in haste, her wedding to Murtasim and sleeping with him. She is trying to understand her impulsive decisions by taking another impulsive decision. Marriage to Murtasim was her choice one she was corned into making that decision, however she at least had power over her feelings when and how to disclose them and she lost control over that too.

Meerab had specific goals in her life before she married, her untimely marriage crashed all her plans. She wanted to cross certain barriers before she took her marriage to the next level that also doesn’t go according to her plan. She said she will believe in his love when she can love him like he does her, which is to keep loving someone even if you can’t forgive them, even if they make mistakes, even if they are damaged with all their flaws. Meerab didn’t think the was capable of this kind of love because of her unforgiving nature and she held herself back as long as possible. From episode 38 onwards she did realize she loved him but sleeping with him before she confessed, before she fully forgave the past, before she was even emotionally ready was not part of her plan. She put the cart before the horse and without timely emotional reassurance from him her world collapsed again.

When she came to Maryam’s ruksathi she was filled with hope, but when struck down with the fear that he didn’t love her anymore she turned into a monster. What soulful things she said she would do for the one she loves, but what does she end up doing slapping and spitting on the man she loves, if she didn’t feel shame then she sure felt it after sex. When he walked out on her without reassuring her it only compounds her fear that he lost respect for her, she lost his love for her, he is ashamed of her deplorable conduct, and she has lost him. From her POV she lost her virginity to a man she has fallen in love with, but he possibly has fallen out of love with her, for a prideful character there can be nothing more humiliating than this. After she lost her OG identify she found purpose and dignity in being ‘Murtasim ki biwi’. But this title holds no value if he does not love her, thus she lost herself again and her virtue is gone as well. She has nothing to hold on to, no family, no identity, no love and is suffering total deconstruction.

Beautifully explained.
