Hanuman Ansh has recorded a significant rise in theatrical audience numbers on its second day, with the film witnessing growing word of mouth after its August 7 release. The film saw its Day 2 audience rise to over 255% of its opening day level, while its NBOC increased to 232.7% of Day 1.
The growth comes despite the film having a limited marketing push and playing across a relatively small number of screens. The makers believe the early response reflects increasing audience interest and recommendations.
Hanuman Ansh has also started trending on BookMyShow, where audience ratings have touched 10/10. The film is centred on the life and spiritual journey of Neeb Karori Baba and has reportedly drawn children, Gen Z viewers, parents and families to theatres.
The makers have compared the film’s early trajectory with Gujarati devotional film Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate, which initially opened quietly before gaining momentum through audience recommendations. However, Hanuman Ansh is still in the early stages of its theatrical run.
The film has also received attention from spiritual, cultural and community circles. Several individuals have encouraged their followers to watch the film in cinemas. Among those associated with the outreach are Acharya Pramod Krishnam, Swami Rangnath Ji of Sandi Ashram, Gopal Shastri Ji of Birla Hanuman Temple, Lakshmi M. Bhatia and Col. Hunny Bakshi.
Support has also come from the entertainment industry. Manoj Tiwari has urged audiences to watch the film, while Rishab Shetty, Adivi Sesh, Om Raut, Aanand L. Rai, Anand Tiwari, Manoj Muntashir, Pranitha Subhash, Meera Chopra and Vivek Agnihotri have also expressed support.
Producer Namrata Singh said, “What is most encouraging is seeing people connect with the film and then speak about it themselves. We will continue taking Hanuman Ansh to different communities and strengthening this word of mouth.”
Writer director Vishal Chaturvedi said, “The jump of over 250% is massively encouraging. I’ve always believed that a good film finds its audience, with or without massive promotion. Seeing that happen with Hanuman Ansh means a great deal to us.”
Hanuman Ansh is written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi and produced under Swambhu Media Network. The film is currently playing in cinemas across India.
