Oh I just searched on google a little more and they aren’t siblings. I guess it was some mistake and Karan has clarified it many times that his mother is not related to the Chopras, she is an only child.

...and that isn't the only source which tells that Hiroo is Yash Chopra's sister.

There would be no reason to lie about that.

Their parents might not be siblings (he didn’t say anything of that sort in his episode )
