Why is this forum so dead after Mon and Tue's episodes?! They were HANDS DOWN the best episodes of the show so far.
Their chemistry, the dialogues and the background score.. just lovely!
Also this is going to be a long post, you've been warned đ
The conversation by the beach. It wasn't about the 'I love you' but the maturity with which both of them discussed their future; their fears, the difficulties and the promise to stand by each other. I absolutely love the dialogues when Shiv invited Surili into the ocean.
Samundar Ke Andar Aana Hoga
Humara Haate Pakadke
Kinare Pe Baithi Rahin Toh Phir Lehron Ki Thapede Toh Sehne Padenge
Agar Himmat Karke Aap Andar Aa Gayi
Toh Hume Tairne Aata Hai
Doobne nahin denge aapko
I wish they actually did walk into the water.. that would have been so fitting.
Hum Aapke Saath Rehna Chahte Hain
Kinaron Mein Nahin
Gehraiyon Mein
Taaki Lehren Humein Aise Thapede Na Maar Paaye
A simple promise to stay together but conveyed with such depth and simplicity. My favourite dialogue so far! A clear foreboding of the tumultuous future they're gonna face but yet giving us hope that he'll walk into the ocean with her.. it will be deep, but he won't let her drown. And neither will he let the waves "slap" [hurt] her.
Surili's fears 'Aasman aur samundar kya kabhi mil paaye' and
Shiv's response:
Samundar aur aasman kabhi ek nahin ho sakte
Lekin saath mein dikhayi dete hain
Kyun
Kyunki unka gehra rishta hai
Kyunki samundar yani paani ki niyati hai ki woh aasman mein badal bankar pahunche
Aur phir uske pyaar mein baras jaaye
Taaki usse milne ke liye wo vaapis badal banke aa sake
A clear indication of the differences between both of them, but yet they can't avoid each other because they are bound by destiny. The dialogue also gave me a sense of foreboding in that she'll be the one to have to make the clear sacrifices to reach him, and she'll be the one crying [tears are often tied to rain] and yet that's the only way she'll be able to get to him. Bittersweet.
Shiv offering his hand with a simple 'hum dono saath mein milkar ek hum banaye'
OH MY HEART. Love the way both of them decided to take the chance together.
And what do I say about the night out. Going from 'hum' to 'tum', both checking how much money they have in their wallets, to street food by the shore, and that intimacy in the cafe. So natural, so lovely and so so refreshing for ITV. I can't remember the last show where I watched leads going on a date like two normal people and having a simple conversation. Probably Yeh Un Dino Ki Baat Hai which was another lovely Sony show.
The way Shiv didn't want the night to end and took the opportunity to use the last 100 rupees. I find it interesting how their relationship has developed thanks to both of them actually not letting the opportunity go and grabbing on to it.
If he didn't take the chance to ask her for a coffee, and she didn't grab on to that, they would have never gotten close to sharing their past together. It was the perfect moment. And him taking the opportunity once again and deciding that he can't let her go, giving him the opportunity to ease her fears relating to the road trip.. and finally getting stabbed, causing her to finally sing aloud. It was truly a case of grabbing on to the opportunity, which really makes one realise that love isn't just about feeling but also about taking the chance. There are probably so many people we miss out on because we didn't grab the opportunity to let the other know how we feel. That's the chance Manvendra missed with Surili. Had he gone up to her, and mustered the courage to ask for friendship / date, things might have been different..
Back to the episode, the way they had a charged moment during the night out, and she kept her hand by the cheek and he kept kissing it... I was a little shocked for a moment LOL.. I mean it's not like we've not seen kisses on ITV but that was kinda bold and hot?! âşď¸
And then just when I thought they couldn't get hotter, we have the gramophone cafe scene. I absolutely love 'Bahon Ke Darmiyaan' and I was thrilled to hear it play for them.
Loved the lighting of the scene and though I'm not a fan of the whole girl-running-the-moment-guy-gets-initmate, it was so so lovely with the way she shivered at each touch of his. It's clearly her first time in love, and he's a player I tell ya đ The whole let's-stop-because-I-love-you was bogus but ok it's ITV.. the fact that we got all this before the leads are actually married was refreshing. The way the sequence was shot was really stunning with the way they touched each other. Tina and Jay were on fireeee! I've always felt that Tina and Jay's acting and chemistry is so-so but they've really done so well in the past 2 episodes.
I hope the show will maintain the physical intimacy, and honest conversations they have as it goes on, both of which are a rarity on ITV these days.
All in all, my love for this show and these two has gone notches higher in the past 2 episodes. Come on people, show them some love! They deserve it!
Phew, I am done.đ
