Why are all Indian serials/films about weddings?

Why we have no other content? Why is 90% of Indian web series, TV, films content mainly about romantic love, rishta, weddings, sasural, affairs?

Or about getting a girl or guy? And why mostly hero or heroine have to be unmarried or virginal or looking for love or marriage?

Why even tragedy in Indian films or shows has no other reason or cause except some failure in marriage or love?

Love, marriage and kids are the most important part of everyone's life.

That's what TV viewing Aunties like 🤷‍♀️

Especially indian serials dekh ke lagta hai ki everyone has this childhood dream ki jaldi se bade hoke pyar ya shadi karni hai (bhale hi start ladayi ya hate se ho). And after a millenium long pre marriage, marriage and post marriage ceremonies they look out for every opportunity to shed tears (of joy or sorrow, doesn't matter).

Indians do love kalesh and will do kalesh anywhere and at any pretext even if there is no shaadi.

Apne just need an excuse for kalesh. Ghar ho ya bahar.

But I think shaadi provides them glamour wala kalesh... isiliye pasand aata hoga...

Because Indians love weddings and getting people married ESPECIALLY without their consent. The older ones especially love matchmaking and weddings.

They don't care for marriages that much.
