Check Netflix Chopra’s doc vid released this year on VDay BI ji. Aditya mentioned this in details, that SRK saw this thing from somewhere and thought it’d be effective to portray the obsession. 🤣 Aditya pushed it to Yash ji.

It was good I get all sweaty and scared when I see his face and hear hin saying ‘I love you Kkkkk’ .

His crying in Devdas doesn't count though....that is SLB's fault...He made my Shahrukhwa cry too much 😡

The only thing from Devdas that still gives me nightmares is Kirron kher's happy dance when paro's marriage was fixed. My God she was so ott. 😱

Did he say anything about the goat like manner he speaks especially when he hams, which is like most of the time? Was that also part of strategic improvisation?

Same question 👍

The joke is on those who think SRK is famously labelled as a stammering king and a hamming king (hukla in a rough way) due to just one movie Darr where he used alphabet K half a dozen times to address Kiran 😂

What about the countless movies after Darr as well where he did the same stammering and hamming (though not repeating k for 6 times) in his career throughout and has been mimicked many times for his aaaa... hmmm...... ooo... Aeeeeyyyy..

lol

Not exactly stammering but this is his signatured style of mouthing the dialogues in a certain melodramatic, theaterical way and many a times with oodles of overacting in both facial expressions and dialogue delivery, especially in the 90s, which his followers kind of like, which is fine and there is absolutely no need to defend his style of acting with all of this.

The climax is the best part of the film. When Paro ran screaming for Devdas, she looked ethereal and graceful.

I on the other hand had snot and tears running down my nostrils, while I wailed my grief in the cinema hall.

If you liked SLB's version, you will love the Devdas starring Dilip Kumar, it is way too authentic to the novel but the best part is that each and every dialogue of Dilip Ji just tugs at heart, seriously, with lots of profound pain that seems way too real to watch, compared to the 2002 version that is more about the grandeur and sets.

Dilip JI was called the shehenshah of acting for a (very valid) reason.

I will highly recommend you to watch this small clip of Dilip Ji's dialogue from Devdas, and you will know what I am talking about here :)

I like that one can enjoy two different renditions of the same character... I often experience that in theatre...the same play and different approaches/representations...fascinating...
