Just googled it. It was hard enough to read about it, wonder how anybody can watch it on the big screen. And isn’t it going to further traumatize the survivors who I believe are still living a stigmatized life? Btw this reminded me of the grooming gangs of UK.🤢

OR... it could give them a release.

Either way, better to be aware than sorry.

If we keep hiding ugly truths then cinema will only comprise of rainbow and sunshine while some real stories will never get told. They need to be told too.

Reading this on a Saturday morning was not the best life choice.

I'm appalled that this happened in the nation and most of the general public had no cluez about this ever occurring.

I hope the movie stays factual in brining such a sensitive issue to light.

Both factual and sensitive while portraying the crime. I would really appreciate if they can present the story in a way that is factual yet not too discomforting to watch for the general public. People can put 2 and 2 together with some internet research later on, if required.

With disturbing stories like this one, maintaining the file line between comfort and discomfort is the key. You can't let the story be so close to reality that people find it difficult to sit through the whole thing yet you can't water it down so much that it ultimately ends up failing to make an impact.

I hope they can do justice to the story and help spread awareness amongst the younger lot.

@bold - exactly! And that delicate balance is extremely hard to achieve which is why I'm thinking this subject should have been handled by a much more competent director.

But let's see... I just hope they don't turn it into a soft p*rn crime patrol.

👏Thank you.

Till then i don't want to join the crowd supporting the already well supported (more so than required i would say) just to be politically correct or do some monkey balancing.

P.s. - feel free to say anything on this matter or on that religious script in cc u were talking about... but in another thread please. I will be happy to join the discussion there with you. I won't run away, i assure you.

And yes i have always claimed that i do instigating or Aag lagoing.. That's my nature. Can't help it whether u love it or hate it or ignore it.

😃 Well I respect ppl who admit to things openly. I'm pretty much the same. So I appreciate the honesty. Also if the is anything you want to understand regarding religion.. by all means you pls feel free to ask me to and I will try my best to answer it and if I don't know it I'll find out.

Certainly if I find the comment again in CC I'll translate it for you with the deeper meaning of it, if you really wanted to know about it.

I'll watch this movie when it releases, and will review it after I see it.

There's lot of things i want to understand about some verses. But we need a place where we can talk freely about that (courteously ofcourse but still without the fear of getting wl or ban).

Not on pm.... Somewhere public. Not because i want a public competition of wits and knowledge but because these questions are not being answered properly despite many of us having the same... So a publicly available discussion would be helpful to many people. Private would only be helpful to me.

In Twitter, unwanted people might jump in and create a mess.

Should we open a thread in debate mansion or member lounge or Chat Club section. Do we need permission from mods for this kind of discourse?
