Again, not to demean his work, but, is he working on someone’s brain or launching a rocket? 😡 Why is Keith not available for labor and also to help with the baby? To earn money? What a nonsensical excuse, writers? Is this day#2 of baby’s life or long after?

Did the plane land emergently and got Amritha’s mom off? Didn’t Keith say that Amritha’s mom’s flight got delayed when she went into labor? Where is she? Kahin still plane mein chakkar nahin kaat rahin hain?🤔

And so who do you ask for help? CEO of an architectural firm who is making notes, buying toys and clothes for the baby and just whiling his time off sitting in his office? And the billionaire CEO instead of pulling all stops to find a nanny, wants to become the nanny?

Where did all of his learning the “ courses” go? Sorry, if he can’t fulfill the two important tenets of baby sitting : to feed the face and clean the behind, then he shouldn’t volunteer to babysit🤢. I know, I shouldn’t find fault with Viaan who is trying, but I am so cranky watching this week’s episodes. 😡👎🏼🤢

Which Jane Doe or John Doe is interested in watching baby basics at close quarters? I got totally irritated. I mean WHAT IS THE POINT? 😔😡Which audience is this show catering to? I mean seeing a man learning to baby-sit will lead to romantic feelings🐷in a woman? What a whacko thought and execution of progression from hate, to friendship to love? Sorry, is this path leading to love in the writers’ minds?

Let us just say this is true, why should we be subjected to this prolonged baby rearing lectures and practicals? Can’t they wrap it up quickly in a song or something like they show in movies? Instead we get lessons on “ how to put on a diaper, how to clean the behind, diaper rash, feeding angles, burping, colic” and everything under the sun. We can all read a book when we need to know, right?

It is like pay up to watch the show and get free ka headache inducing gyaan in place of entertainment☢️. We got school age kid lessons too, in the parent-teacher meeting. We got baby lessons in detail. Kya hain yeh? Most of get preached by various people in our daily lives, which we bear with, ab entertainment shows bhi preach karenge toh hum kya karein?

Katha comes to lecture us and Viaan about baby care 101, while leaving her own child to Dodo.👎🏼

Eight year old Aarav suddenly became anxious and came out of anxiety too, not sure why and now is asking his 8 yr old friend to find out what is going on with another friend and his behavior🤔. Hope we don’t get more lessons about family life and such😡………..

Do I need to say anything about Reet? Where is Pyramid guy, this is the time to kick some behind What is going on with Vanya and her mother with dementia? Why are they not going for the kill while Viaan is embroiled with all things related to a friend’s baby?

Ehsan is the only guy who did the sane thing and sleep👏I should have done the same instead of subjecting myself to this utter nonsense.

Girls, I don’t know how you all felt. I am hella annoyed with the show and myself😡……….

IMO soon I might announce sanyaas from tvland giving immense happiness to my pathidev 🚶‍♂️He complained of profuse wrist pain😭 due to persistent scrubbing of burnt kadaai last week😉, because of my futile attempt of making khova with full attention on the serial world last week🫣 😠. Time to get my acts right before matters get serious🤣

Khudh ko nahi sambhaal sakti tho viaan ka kya hi kahu, he's in his infancy with babysitting the CVs plan to get the lovestory on track once viaan reaches 8 years mark perhaps, but Aarav will probably 16 by then🤪 so viaan case warrants for a crash course or viaan opening a phukkad day care center for neonates - 8 year olds 😉 😄 😀

I got so irritated by Viaan, Katha and baby nonsense that my mind started digging dirt😕 as he kept blabbering how he had to tell “ his friends about his feelings”. Kyun bhai, did you also share your kaarnaamein of the ONS with the so called jigar Ke doston. Nahin na, toh why can’t he shut up instead of telling everybody about his equation with Katha or lack thereof😡 Totha ke jaise bakk bakk karta rehta hain, even when she says shouldn’t you have kept my name off, so I don’t get preached by every Dodo, Amrita and Ehsan😡

Mili, Raji, u have eloquently articulated what I wanted to say. These parenting episodes have been so contrived they have completely detailed the show. And the CVs have completely lost sight of the 2 promising plot directions they opened last week - Robin Batman revelation & Vanya mystery.

Another point - it is very ungentlemanly of Viaan to disclose his equation with Katha to all & sundry - this is known as “bandying about a woman’s name”. Disgusting! He is free to tell his friends and non-friends that he is in love with someone, but he cannot disclose it is Katha.

And who the hell is Amritha to advise Katha on her life? She has barely known Viaan for a few days and Katha for a few hours. It is very humiliating for Katha.

Viaan’s love is not a jugnu - it is an irritating machchar!

I am with you on all the comments abt this week’s episode. I actually forwarded quite a bit.

I have been thinking about what’s the point in Viaan going into so much detail at every step of baby caring. Is it to provide justification to the audience and Katha that Viaan is going above n beyond and around the world to prove how genuine his love is?

I just feel like they are trying to sell this idea of this man who asked for a ONS can genuinely fall in love and can be loved back to audience

I just can’t wait for this baby duty phase to pass and Viaan play on basket ball dads team

I don’t know where to start, or if I should even say anything! Oh well, let me add to the rant.

I hope the mother eventually shows up so her daughter can sleep morning, afternoon and night. Especially since Keith is not home during the day or night. Doesn’t say much about his planning unless this baby came way, way early? Poor fellow in that case. But thank goodness for friends like Viaan who are so ready to play daddy-daddy. 🙄 May be to the writers this is all great. It made my skin crawl. 🤯

Anyway, Amrita is all good with her hubby being away, so now I am ok with wherever he is. Which means, they had a plan on how to manage… MOM. Except no one knows what happened to her. Where is she flying from anyway? Why are there no stressed-out phone calls going back and forth? How many days is it since the baby was born?

Nannies are out Mili. How will Viaan get his dadddddy experience if they get a nanny? She will shoo-shoo him away. Which would be the right thing to do given his lack of experience. I mean she is not there to train him…

I am beginning to wonder why Aarav never asks his mom to come home early and spend time with him. I am also wondering why no one else tells Katha to spend time with her son. This mother-son relationship is out of balance.

Why are you calling Viaan resourceful? 😝 Google is resourceful. Viaan will now take to drawing and designing nappies. I tell ya, he will change his career. Being an architect is tough especially if he has to be smarter than the pyramid guy. And Eshan is tired of watching out for Viaan. He will nap while Viaan designs. Katha will keep Viaan company and conduct level 2 classes in parenting and fatherhood. Who knows eventually their eyes will meet, all talk will cease and some weird kind of love will happen. May be this is what they call jadoo.

I don’t know about Reet. I have stopped watching her scenes as her analysis and conclusions go over my head. 😞 Pyramid guy is out I think. Because he has nothing to do. He is bored and all confused by Viaan. No competition. No show at work. Pretty much nothing going on at Earthcon. So where can he play his evil games? No more sabotage. Vanya’s mother has dementia so she pretty much can’t do anything. Vanya likes Viaan and has already concluded that he doesn’t know the truth. So all her plans whatever they were are of no use, except to intern and learn from him. But for that she might have to play nanny. Which means Katha is out. Then Viaan won’t like her and we can hope for some drama. Oooooh! This is exciting!

But, you have to be patient. Viaan is yet to share this experience with err.. friends and anyone else who wants to or doesn’t want to listen. soon he will share with Vanya. Until then, she won’t know he is playing daddy role. So how can she take advantage of this situation now? But, not to worry, once she knows she will weave it in and find excuses to intern as nanny, I mean learn some nanny skills while interning.

You bring up a good point on Viaan ‘s sharing with friends. Definitely not sharing the ONS. Why? Because he has to protect his image. If we begin to look at all that he is doing- it’s about his image- how he wants to appear to Katha and people around her. It’s very annoying that he is so full of himself, and constantly making excuses for his behavior. Excuses do not justify. He needs to stop. That’s it.

mili -- I already did all my rants yesterday in DT on how dumb this track is. I was FF the episode and I missed amrita's advertising of viaan. in one youtube clip, I saw ehsaan also defending viaan saying "it is just his hope".

I was fuming this episode when katha is point blank telling viaan that he has no business telling people her name when she has turned him down and he grins and says "but we are just childhood friends with no filters" 👎🏼😡

nothing about this drama right now gives the maturity of 30+ characters that we initially had. I find it cringe and at times infuriating. viaan has been rejected and instead of taking it appropriately, he and his friends are still canvassing for him.

this isn't cute or sweet or even a love story. instead it is very close to stalking type harassment type emotional blackmail type crime story wrapped up in baby cloth. everything viaan does has an agenda here. why? because he is obsessed with himself selfish twat. he sees the light. he feels peace. my foot. someone slap him. 🤢

so in order to gain katha, he will knock on some random lady's house (he doesn't even know but is assuming that is seema) and will download his feelings. then when she says "I have no idea who is viraj" -- he just walks off satisfied that he has finally gotten rid of his hate. oh, now he has miraculously recovered from years of his trauma now???? seriously???? who writes this????

then, he has this idea that in order to gain katha, he has to learn about fatherhood. so he will barge in on a delivery room -- never mind her modesty or the doctor's needs -- and help out. then he will act like he birthed the baby and do 'coo coo' sounds. meanwhile us audience are supposed to be like "viaan is so sweet." no he is not!!! 👎🏼

all of these are calculated moves. there is nothing romantic about it. he has no right to hold on to any hope if she has point blank said no. so rather than a mature love story, we have gotten some teenager version. it is dissapointing to say the least.

we went from ONS between two consenting adults to some teenage story where neither will address that night ever again.

meanwhile, we have katha who spent a night with viaan for money to save her kid but now has no clue what is happening in aarav's life because she is all the time in office -- even though she demanded better work life balance. it is all up to a random stranger, dodo, she has invited into her house permanently to do the parenting. no, she does not care about her son who she gained from the clutches of death but is more concerned playing detective and going wherever viaan goes. am sorry but both characters are dumb at this point and I don't care about either of them. tsk tsk.

P.S -- I feel like I need to walk away from this drama soon if it does not improve and just call it a day.

Hey mili being a picky foodie myself, I cook some special sweet every fortnight, palkhova is simple to make, simmer 2 litres of milk on stove top for 2 hrs and add some flavorings in the end, you have your delicious khova ready. Problem this time, I didn't tell my DH about khova simmering on the stove because I was immersed on my mobile, while going on my usual walk. My husband who generally has a good sense of smell apparently was involved in his classical sangeeth 🎶 So papam paal khova became burnt khoya khoya 🙏🏽 🤣 DH didn't pay attention to kadai until its burnt, my stars have been good this time, so he accepted and cleaned it up. Otherwise to avert another battlefield I'd usually cleanup like typical desibiwi

Coming back to story, they are not able to balance the story really well, especially either they can make it katha centric or viaancentric both ways its boring due to lack of balance and plot became monotonous.

Amritha figured out from Viaan's facial expressions at the mention of katha. My question is how can Amrita behave like a snob, trying to tease viaan or talking to kathaa about it is invasion of privacy, does she not have commonsense. This happens only in ITV.

mili -- the more I think about it, I am able to understand why I cannot relate to this baby track at all. it is because it is totally contrived. it doesn't hit emotionally.

I only respond to dramas where the guy has to deal with all the emotions in a more honest way and that happens often through circumstances beyond his control -- that is certainly more impactful.

so because I am bored, I will share the outline of a one episode drama (so each ep is a different story) I watched years ago in singapore. so ML is a really successful doctor and surgeon. he gets a call that his younger half-brother is in jail for some financial fraud. basically these two have barely spoken in years -- the last time at their father's funeral.

so the father divorced ML's mom and moved on to wife#2 and son#2. ML grew up with grandparents and so naturally has a lot of resentment. he is not even remotely sympathetic to find his brother got involved in some sort of ponzi scheme and is now in jail.

the brother pleads with doctor to take care of his 8 year old daughter and doctor is flaberghasted. he is like, "where is the mom?" and can't even facepalm that the woman had taken off with the money and left. the brother pleads that he has no one else to request and he does not want his daughter to end up in some orphanage.

very reluctantly, doctor agrees to keep her temporarily till the court case is over. it is all a bit of disaster. she is bratty and keeps acting out -- even his regular top-servant lady can barely handle the child and doctor has to pay extra to ensure she doesn't quit. the girl refuses to eat properly and the doctor keeps getting frustrated because he is all about healthy living. to make things worse, the brother is sentenced to 10 years for fraud which means the doctor is stuck with the child. he is not even remotely amused and is close to having meltdown.

the girl then gets hospitalized for gastritis and he is totally embarassed --- he is a doctor himself and the child got sick under his custody. the FL, a fellow doctor and a pediatrician, then sits him down and explains that he needs to put himself in the girl's shoes. all of a sudden, she is thrust with relatives who do not want her, giving her rules she is not used and making her eat food she does not like.

doctor is like he does not want to be her father but he is stuck with her and is not going to allow her to be bratty and unhealthy. FL then tells him that he does not need to be the father. however, flawed, she already has one who loves her but is far away from her due to circumstances. what she needs is a constant father figure which he can provide as an uncle.

so he does not need to change his character -- can be as serious and schedule oriented as he likes -- but he needs to bend a little and think about things from the child's perspective and make room for her so she feels welcome.

the ML really then reflects about his own experience of how his father left and how that made him feel at his grandparents house and he is able to see what his niece might be experience and understand why she was acting out. because she keeps drawing flowers, he will get these cutters to cut carrot in the shape of flowers for her. he cuts himself a few times but manges to do them.

she is asleep in the hospital room and so he just puts the box beside her bed and then falls asleep on the chair next to her bed. when she wakes in the middle of the night, she sees him and then sees the lunch box. she eats the carrots slowly and then goes back to sleep. next morning, he wakes up all groggy and sees kiddo is already awake. he opens the lunch box to show her and is surprised to see she has already eaten. a small smile appears on his face. she then just says, "uncle I am hungry" and he nods and says, "yea, I will get you breakfast" -- the first real conversation they have.

the episode/drama ends there. even though I watched it years ago, I really enjoyed it and liked the story. so I don't think a journey to fatherhood and dealing with past traumas have to be so silly and cringeworthy like they are doing with viaan.

it can be as simple as having a ML do carrot flowers for his niece and finding a piece of himself and also figuring out what fatherhood means. sometimes that is far more memorable for a viewer.

Amrita is taking her cue from Viaan: If a random male friend can barge into your labour room & hold your newborn baby before u do, then a random female friend can barge into your love life & propose to your target girl before u do 😆

To think that a few weeks ago we were up in arms over Ehsan barging into Katha’s house in the evening woth Chinese food. Compared to the privacy-invading barging in happening now, that was nothing!

Noone in this show - esp the leads, Ehsan, Teji, Reet, Amrita, Dodo - have any respect for privacy, consent, discretion, personal or professional boundaries 😡
