I am not differentiating foster and biological but have to use that term because on new year Anuj himself said her to give priority to present over past n maintain distance from SH . If he thinks that 26 years bond can be broken so easily than for Anuj it must be more easier as their bond is of just few months. Secondly Anuj married Anupama at that time I don't think he was unaware of Ma matka n her ties with SH. If he was expecting she will cut it all for him than same applies to him too. I am not saying he is only wrong for Maan break up but fact is his facial expressions when Vanraj said Anupama to stay at SH that is completely wrong . Now he cannot expect Anupama to be loyal to him as if he can leave everything for his daughter than why can't she stay at SH for her son's happiness.

It was not romantic at all. Men should learn to take NO for an answer. Anuj can only show attitude in front of Anu, but when M enters his bedroom, he behaves like a puppy. The bike scene triggered so many bad memories.

I think there is a difference between being aware of matkas and having no time spent together in a new marriage. The honeymoon period and next couple of years is very important in new marriage, no one prioritizes anything in that period, parents, in laws, previous children, all come later for a new couple, they need to bond in that period for marriage to work

And no one even thinks of spending time with ex and ex in laws, thats just ridiculous.

That marriage was always doomed, i dont think how much time you spend in something is what matters, what matters is quality

Yeah he was disillusioned and that is why he’s still running after her.. giving her mixed signals, stopping her, showing his entitled haq on her, showing possessiveness when he’s doing worse… your Anuj Kapadia will never be over Anupama.. he will say I love her blah blah and he will continue hurting her. But he will never move on from her and will be miserable. Neither will he let her move on. He wants a wife and I guess now a pretend wife/mistress/whatever he’s calling it.. He is a weak & and coward chr. Now he has become a typical itv toxic ML

Well yes, of course another main strong character was ruined for the insecure main lead, why are you surprised, that is what always happens on this show, anytime any other positive character gets focus and praise in media, the writers immediately turn them negative and toxic and weak.

I think he is showing possession and dominnance as thats what Anupama understands and responds to, she doesnt respond to love and affection, but only to abuse and dominance, she runs away from those who genuinely respects her and always runs to those who wants to dominate her.

Maybe Anuj has learned this one weird trick (marriage counselers hate it!) to win Anupama's true love!

He actually never asked Anupama to break all relations with her kids or even Baa and Baapuji for that matter. He himself used to accompany her on many occasions and always took care of CA/the house in her absence. He even funded that toxic family and helped them in too many situations. He asked her to draw boundaries because they were extremely toxic, he even said they make her do everything and then blame her if something goes wrong. The Baa's khichdi incident for example was heights of misplaced priorities. Many times, the children in Shah House didn't need her. They are all grown adults who are even married and no mother hand holds their kids through every single day. Her kids are entitled, spoilt and batameez to the core, they treated her SO badly, yet needed her every single minute. She gave in too much to Baa's demands and Baapuji's manipulations as well. Baa even treated CA so badly because she is an orphan, wanting Anupama to prioritise Pari over her. The problem was, there were so many adults in Shah House, but none of them could do anything on their own, they needed Anupama for EVERYTHING. Baa would give her badduas after badduas and then come begging asking her to come to their house and she would go. During Toshu's paralysis, it was understandable for Anupama to be with him yes, but many of the other instances could have easily been avoided by learning to say no and prioritising what's important. Anuj in fact wanted her to prioritise herself and for her to be happy spending time with her family who truly cared for her and didn't just use her. He didn't expect her to sit and cook and clean for them or do work for CA, he was happy to send her to school, get her ready etc. He just wanted Anupama to spend time with CA, bond with her, enjoy performing a mother daughter dance together for example. This is evidenced by him being so happy she's going to America, he would have never stopped that earlier also if she got the opportunity, in fact he might have moved with CA to the US to support her.

Anuj is 100% in the wrong now and his character is totally ruined, but doesn't mean we forget all the wrong things Anupama did or justify it, she was responsible for cracks appearing in her marriage in the first place.

How maaya is taking medicine when she is not suffering from. Illness

I must say anuj is fool and coward who believe every word of maaya and falling in trap of maaya ..

Clearly anuj was not in problem he is actually coward and fool to believe maaya word

This what you get when your wife allows every one under the sun to move in to your house. Dimpy was going to use him eventually. Pakhi, Shahs, cousin, his wife, her brother. Keep letting your wife bring every stray home. It will not be too long before he will go broke just on that alone. Business will fail anyway.
