We have no clue on the circumstances of this sex or non sex act. Also regret after sex is criminal territory, girl gets the sympathy, power play dynamics, man has the upper hand physically, we have problems of coercion what was said before during and after. Woman has a right to say NO STOP at any point during the act and he must stop, all this we can't see on PakTv so we have to make big assumptions. I have a bad feeling about this. To show angry sex on TV is very risky, Desi/Pak/Conservative audiences won't even understand what happened if the dialogues are ambiguous and consent is dubious. And factor in all the censorship problems we can't see them touch, so how do they show consent.

I have seen so many Korean angry sex scenes but none of that will work for Pak TV, because of the no touch rule, can't take off clothes rule, no bed scene rule, too many rules to show proper angry consensual sex. This is dangerous territory.

The right to sex with wife is power controlled by the husband alone wife/Meerab's POV is irrelevant. TB has broken this stereotype and has made consent important so not sure how they will dance around this subject if they have angry sex, because angry sex has no impact on the contract.

Hey guys! Been watching the show since start too but couldn't manage to come around for discussions here...until now. 😆 I don't usually comment on youtube but today's episode made me go and comment even and here's what I had written.

- I hadn't watched today's episode but dived straight into its last scene reading about the noise it was making on social media. Firstly, I always had a beef with the gazillion amount of logical fallacies this show had but I was invested in MeeraSim's story and thus continued to watch. Secondly, the amount of instances where the characters behaved WAY out of their character has been plenty. They changed Murtasim's character template right that first controversial slap, when he had slapped her the first time and for absolutely no legitimate reason, in terms of story telling also because they showed him regretting the action soon after and describing himself as someone who has never "physically abused" a woman ever before. He also treated Haya like thrash initially (which is how he actually should have kept doing, esp after he got married and became aware of her relentless attempts to have him) but he went unreasonably and foolishly soft on her later on. Maa Begum and Murtasim letting her still stay in the house with them after her 'kala jaadu' and making meerub fall from the stairs and all her scheming and plotting ways were exposed makes no sense in any universe. And then, they did not even question her motives, her agendas and her involvement in the whole Mariyum-Malik Zubair arc too. They should have thrown her out of the house but she's conveniently kept around as a catalyst to cause issues between MeeraSim. Fine, creative "liberties" and creative calls. Got it.

- But Meerub slapping Murtasim purely based on suspicion is as uncalled for as him doubting her with regards to Rohail, esp when she stood so strongly for herself and kept telling Murtasim that she won't tolerate her character being tainted. When, infact, she's given him far more reasons and instances (even under majboori and all that jazz) while Murtasim has been loyal to her one hundred percent of the time. And the absolute ridiculousness is the fact that Meerub KNOWS extremely well as to the extent Haya can go to and has gone to, multiple times, to break them apart and have him for herself but this aqal ki maazoor Meerub not even just slaps him (I would have let this go too counting it as a score leveled) but she spits on him and accuses him of cheating even. Murtasim has proclaimed his LOVE for her a billion times, protected her and stood for multiple times, handled the whole Rohail fiasco much better than Meerub handled Haya's gazillion scheming attempts.

So, him doubting or questioning her makes more sense than her doubting him and accusing him like she's shown loyalty and abiding by boundaries all the time. She's gone ahead and met Rohail a few times, kept friendship/ties with him despite Murtasim's objection. If that's allowed and justified for whatever reason, then Murtasim too is free to keep ties with his cousin while being aware that she loves him, just the way Meerub is aware that Rohail loves her. It's absolutely nonsensical how they've been writing Meerub's character since the start and Yumna is the only reason that character still works. Full of double standards, hypocrisy and confusion. So, I don't know what the cliff hanger in this episode will lead to or what those teasers and promos are exactly about for the next episode but I hope it doesn't lead to something of Muratsim forcing himself on her kinda shit because now that will be ruining his character completely and irreparably so. The man he's shown himself to be in all these episodes (sans the first few episodes), wouldn't ever do such a thing even in extreme rage, heartbreak or in a bid to satisfy his hurting ego. I didn't think the sub standard writing of this show would drop any lower but it seems like they're trying really hard to do that.
