Aiden Markram, SRH captain: Still believed at half-time that we were in with a chance but with four wickets in the powerplay, we went down. We have high-class bowlers and we thought the ball would swing for a while but it didn't. Gill did well. Credit to Bhuvi for bringing it back. Klaasen is a great player with class, power and a good cricketing brain. Unfortunately, the rest of the group did not support him. Lots of pride still left in the upcoming games. Maybe we'll give out a few opportunities and guys can finish well but sadly we haven't been good. Bhuvi showed us the way and Nattu was good as well.

Gujarat Titans are through to the playoffs and are assured a top-two finish as well: When you lose 6 wickets inside 7 overs chasing 188, the game is pretty much done and dusted. Though Klaasen and Bhuvi stitched a 68-run stand for the 8th wicket, it was just a little piece of consolation in an otherwise sorry batting card from the visitors. First up, Shami broke the back of the chase by removing three of SRH's top four in the powerplay and Mohit Sharma got rid of the big hitters in the 7th over. There wasn't much on offer for the spinners tonight, but the dimensions did play a part as both teams struggled to hit sixes and ended up offering a lot of catches to the fielders in the deep. We've got high-class bowlers who can swing the ball. Shubman's innings was incredible and so did their number three. We stuck in there and credit goes to Bhuvi to show us how it's done. (On Klaasen) He's a great player and I'm very happy for him, the world can see the class and power he's got. The rest of us haven't assisted him. It's tough for him to be on the losing side after performing the way he has. (On their remaining two games) A lot of pride for us to play for. We'll try to give some opportunities if we're allowed to. It'll be nice to finish off the tournament in good spirits but unfortunately, we haven't been good enough in the tournament this year. When a team is one down in the backend, it can go either of the two ways. It was important to break the partnership and Bhuvi did that for us. He's been exceptional for us and Natarajan as well.

Yeah I saw that! But as they were playing with 4 overseas already, he wasn’t going to be impact player for sure. He was dropped out of playing XI. Don’t know maybe he has a niggle or something🤔

11:23pm: A comfortable win for Titans. An expected cruise, Gill's slowdown while closing in on the hundred does not matter. Shami retained his new-ball magic. Mohit got a four-for. All is good in their camp. Sunrisers did well to go from 59 for 7 to 154 but that, led by Klaasen's solid fifty, is as good as it got for them.
