It reminds me of the - sometimes very unhealthy - debate around The Kashmir Files, a movie that lost the opportunity to get a balanced awareness of what social insatifaction and class-thinking (SOCIAL ISSUES) can generate: violence going overboard fueled through POLITICS.

Here, even in a themed debate over a movie trailer, the verbal outburst doesn't really consider the CRIMINALITY displayed in the movie but POLITICS - over a religion-concerned thinking.

...and btw, (Birdie), just saying: Hitler was greatly lauded for bilduing highways and streets...for the greater good of people... I leave you at the idea that positive things doesn't hinder that the very contrary can be an outcome...and vice-versa (of course). That's a NATURAL LAW...

Tgis comaparison that you are trying to make is really not needed. Was Hitler democratically elected?

Hain?? When did SRK call out anyone about Pathan ban?? He didn't even promote Pathan anywhere except AskSRK on Twitter..😆..He didn't speak a word about Aryan's case....matlab kuchh bhi....

And why should any actor speak up if they don't want to......are they ruling the country?? Did they ask people for their votes.....ki tum mujhe vote doh...main tumhe achhe din doonga??

Its their wish to speak up if their movie is banned and keep mum if someone else's movie is banned..they are not the ELECTED leaders of the country...

Are they making rules for the country??

Being an SRK fan I expect you should know he went on a stage with Mamta Banerjee in Kolkatta and talked about Creative Freedom when Besharam Rang controversy erupted.

Now same Mamta Banerjee banned a movie which was cleared by Kerala HC for screening.

Hence need to call out SRK and his false Bravado.

No one will support that bhagwadhari here.

but isis related film has questioning counts of victims.
that’s the difference.

Vikas Dubey - a Hindu gangster from UP got killed. No one batted an eyelid or super him.
Atiq Ahmed - a minority gangster from UP got killed, Rana Ayyub went to UN to call him lawmaker.
That’s the difference.

Aur tum toh real issues ki baat hi na karo. I gave you at least 10 topics about real issues. You are not discussing them. Every time side me toss karke apple vs oranges karti ho. 🤷‍♀️

Chalo let’s discuss 1991, places of worship act. 1995, Wafq board act which is undemocratic and unconstitutional. Let’s discuss.

I watched the Movie and also realised that they haven't been given much screens.

Also

The movie has more focused on victims.

Very subtly has also added muslims who are with the victims family.

There is nothing false which is being shown in the Movie but as usual problem will happen if wrong side is shown of the other side.

As no drame happened when Idk how many series of Ashram came, Patal lok etc movies to show shit happening in Hindu side.

Anyways only thing is

Victims are not only of Kerala but from all the states of India and other countries.

WB is going the same way as Kerala and that's why it was banned there, the state's demography has changed so much in last few yrs and will continue changing as no one is questioning it.

Anyways point is

It is a good movie, facts are shown.

People can cry propaganda but can't deny facts.

This review answers most of the question raised in this thread.

precisely this portion from the tweet.

People who have always claimed that crimes against women are severely underreported and undercounted, are today clinging on to government data as if it is the word of God himself. People who don’t trust Government data on anything from GDP to jobs are busy sharing any piece of statistic that forwards their ideological bias. Many folks who tell everyone to “believe women” have no time for these victims and their heartbreaking stories. Because what they have to tell is not what some want to hear.

There have been scenes joh mujhse dekhe nahi gaye.

& things which were shown was so scary, thinking just to trap, how many people are planning and plotting to destroy the lives of these people.

Chalo, lets discuss THE MOVIE . like the moderator WhildestDreams asked for...and a discussion of the movie is about the CONTENT (what is shown/said/there to read as subtitles)...not Indian political history...

Yeah, may the TRUTH triumph, Medha_Sree...because it is important NOT to neglect, that it is a fictional movie, NOT a documentary (the same as TKF...just writing)...

I like the bold part which makes me think that the movie has an 'be aware' touch.

As I'm against banning a movie instead of discussing its issues openly, I hope that West Bengal will change that decision.
