disclaimer: The majuscules are not shouting at anyone, but merely to accentuate certain point. The same goes for writing the two names in bold which is only meant to highlight that I refer to a posting of them.
So, after reading all this (of course only understanding the English trext), I suppose that from the posters only Zeal and - maybe - Birdie have watched the movie (although, Birdie's comment is - revealingly??? - only a manifoldly repeated one line statement).
Zeal, your comment: "Why do boys of a certain religion trap girls by changing their names to the girls' religion? What's the intent there?" is like a 'trap' question, because, if you've watched the movie you know the answer...and your intelligence should tell you that trapping someone is betrayal...and a CRIMINAL act - regardless whatever is used (religion, alleged drugs-possession/trafiquing, social status).
THIS movie should IN NO WAY instigate political discussion through the subject but a social discussion, an educational one...HOW TO PREVENT PEOPLE TO FALL PREY TO BETRAYAL with specific examples.
Birdie, you don't need to tell that you didn't read the post...just don't comment on something you don't know (in THIS case, what I wrote).
It just tells something about a closed or open mindset...
It is of NO INTEREST how the election results in 2019 were because the investigation into the - most probably - rigged computers was quickly stopped (and an institution that should be NEUTRAL rendered to the whims of the old government 'newly elected by a landslide')...anyone interested how easily an election result can be manipulated when using computers???
Anyways..numbers are the easiest to be manipulated...and then public opinions ...it's just a matter of repeating the same misconstruction over & over again (like Zeal again posting the - false - Pathan meme, as Rubai wasn't working for ISIS anymore but for John and then against John...she clearly had left the ISIS service long ago to join John's group of FORMER agents)
Repeating lies doesn't make them to tell the truth.
I wonder why nobody opened a special movie thread about The Kerala Story like it is generally done with other movies...this here should have been a TRAILER DISCUSSION OF A MOVIE only.
