So, after reading all this (of course only understanding the English trext), I suppose that from the posters only Zeal and - maybe - Birdie have watched the movie (although, Birdie's comment is - revealingly??? - only a manifoldly repeated one line statement).

What's the intent there?" is like a 'trap' question, because, if you've watched the movie you know the answer...and your intelligence should tell you that trapping someone is betrayal...and a CRIMINAL act - regardless whatever is used (religion, alleged drugs-possession/trafiquing, social status).

THIS movie should IN NO WAY instigate political discussion through the subject but a social discussion, an educational one...HOW TO PREVENT PEOPLE TO FALL PREY TO BETRAYAL with specific examples.

It is of NO INTEREST how the election results in 2019 were because the investigation into the - most probably - rigged computers was quickly stopped (and an institution that should be NEUTRAL rendered to the whims of the old government 'newly elected by a landslide')...anyone interested how easily an election result can be manipulated when using computers???

Also while we are on Pathaan..recently watched a podcast of Vikram Sood..ex R&AW chief..who basically said that if you think an ISI agent and RAW agent will fall in love and live happily ever after..you got to chill buddy 😆🤣 he dint watch the movie because of the idiocy of it all and thinks most bolly movies are awful when it comes to spy stories. Pathaan may be an ATBB..but for god sake don’t make it sound like art or truth…..because it ISNT. Happy for SRK..Not for his fans..because they deserve better from him.😆

I clearly told that I can't watch the movie for a long time (until OTT release) so what sense it would make to open a discussion thread about something I won't be able to talk about.

All I know is the SUBJECT of the movie... (and the - false??? right??? - controversies the release generates).

Edit: Just as an afterthought: Maybe, some here should start to switch on their logical mind and NOT get emotional when it comes to politics. Politics mostly are dirty and prone to betraying behaviour for power and personal gains...

Neither was my question (interpreted as demand) entitled .... but it won't be a shocker if u got that kinda reply from someone too as the situation with the Kerala story is the same with the Kashmir files. It's making a lot of people uncomfortable.

Just my third (and last) take on this thread:

It reminds me of the - sometimes very unhealthy - debate around The Kashmir Files, a movie that lost the opportunity to get a balanced awareness of what social insatifaction and class-thinking (SOCIAL ISSUES) can generate: violence going overboard fueled through POLITICS.

Here, even in a themed debate over a movie trailer, the verbal outburst doesn't really consider the CRIMINALITY displayed in the movie but POLITICS - over a religion-concerned thinking.

...and btw, (Birdie), just saying: Hitler was greatly lauded for bilduing highways and streets...for the greater good of people... I leave you at the idea that positive things doesn't hinder that the very contrary can be an outcome...and vice-versa (of course). That's a NATURAL LAW...
