Sai-Satya Drabble: Stuck in Boxes
Sai watched Satya as he caressed the box. He was holding onto it like a man lost in the desert would hold onto water, like it was the sole reason for his being. Sai could see the love and pain he had for Girija in his eyes. Her heart broke, not that it was doing any better. She had just hurt the only man who had mattered to her some hours ago, but seeing Satya store his heart in a box made her feel sorry for him. The reverence in his eyes for Girija broke her heart.
But then, he was at least more lucky than she was. Girija would never hate him. He has beautiful memories with Girija that he could live with, and thinking of her seem to give him more happiness than any living being could possibly do so.
Sai, on the other hand, would have to see hate in Virat's eyes for her. He had declared that she was dead for him. Except for Savi and Vinu, she didn't have a memory of the love that they once shared.
She had lost a lot. She knew Satya had lost a lot too. They were two people who had to spend their remaining lives just with the memories of their loved ones. You cannot forget some people, it's impossible. You lock their memories into a box and push away the box in the deepest corner of your heart.
