After yesterday, my new fav of the show is Seema Aunty. She really shut that KHANdan up - throwing all their stupidity right back in their face!!! All of them. She really was a living outside commentary on this whole ridiculous track and how dumb and hypocritically they are all behaving in it.

It was really a beautiful, hilarious sight to see, chomping on them AND the sandwiches simultaneously. She’s the smartest one around. Brilliant!😂

Though I loved Seema aunty’s acting but I do not subscribe to what she said .
In Bold .Colored Text The entire khandan behaved in a very dignified way . They were polite and courteous. They didn’t have to agree to meet Anas and his mom but they did in good faith and that speaks a lot . Asking “ koi male member nahin aaya” nothing WRONG with that . There are certain things our culture and tradition follows , nothing wrong with that . Just because West does not follow those traditions that does not mean they are bad and we should not too. Whole idea was to meet Anas and if he does not come then it is bound to throw them off gear but still despite that they behaved in a very decent mannner till the lady got too much to bear . Nothing wrong in asking your last name which Ma Begum did . That’s a done thing . One never introduces oneself ( that too when u r meeting for the first time and too for such an important matter ) without last name . All said and done , Khans are khandani / dignified ppl , certain things they follow may be rigid but they are flexible, trying to change that but that does not mean they throw all the values out of the window in the name of modernisation

Who is talking about modernization?
No - I wasn’t referring to their behavior with her at all here. I was referring to their actions surrounding the whole Maryam fiasco which are really ridiculous. How they got to this meeting in the first place. Maryam, Meerab, and Haya are just plain dumb or conniving in Haya’s case, with their actions. There was no need to show at least the Main female lead being so naive/ dumb, however you perceive it.

Ma Begam and her going on about her Khandaani family following rules etc… yeah right… your one daughter is satan in the flesh, and your other daughter is a dimwit who lets this guy in the house? Dignified? Lol. Your daughter-in law calls you out on your hypocrisy about loving your kids and then forcing them into marriages they have said no to.

Anwar, well he’s just a dick for leaving his baby daughter… that is literally anti- khandani. So now he’s suddenly just trusting Maryam AND Meerab, who are immature about these things to say the least?

And Murtasim used to have more akkal, but lately he has been too consumed in love to use it here, with respect to Maryam. One minute insisting she must marry Naurez after talking to him, but not bothering to talk to Maryam. Then finally capitulating but not bothering to get more info about this dude first. He’s Murtasim Khan after all, he can get info if he wants. No way he would let them inside his house without having done some background info beforehand. The moment he heard about him, that Anas dude would have been sought out.

So yes, from my perspective she was a nice comical commentary on this family through her little appearance.
