Mustafa Moudi: "On this day, IPL was born. McCullum gave it a perfect start with his iconic 158. Happy Birthday IPL!!"

Back-to-back successful chases and MI's confidence should be sky-high. After eking out a last-ball thrilling win against Delhi Capitals, they notched up a convincing win chasing KKR's 185. Their top-five batters got starts in their last outing and SKY scoring a 25-ball 43 would have pleased the team management. Piyush Chawla has been their best bowler so far in this season. But Rohit and Co. would hope for their pacers step up. They are expected to play two overseas pacers. They wouldn't want to tinker their winning combination too much.

Pitch Report | Ian Bishop: There's a slight bias to the ground. To my right, 63 metres (square boundary), that's not a big hit, players can muscle that. A little bit bigger to my left - 68 metres. Down the ground about 73 metres. The outfield is pristine, it's absolutely beautiful. The surface is interesting. It's a light colour, very grey colour. The grass that was there is cut very very low. I'm just wondering ... the ball feels as though it'll come on to the bat on this but because the grass is cut so low, I'm not sure. I don't know if it'll grip a little bit for the slowmen. But it looks beautiful. If later in the game, dew comes in, it'll slide on nicely. From a batting perspective, you come out here and you'll enjoy seeing this.

It's day 20, and match 25 of the IPL 2023. It's Sunrisers Hyderabad hosting Mumbai Indians. Two teams that have just begun to find their bearings but one them must lose tonight. The other goes to three wins in a row. It is also Jansen twins going up against each other for only the second time in professional cricket. Also eyes on Jofra Archer. Unlikely to play is what we hear but you never know. And what of Arjun Tendulkar? 2-0-17-0 in the powerplay at the Wankhede is not a bad debut. Does he get a second game? We will soon find out at the toss in half an hour.

the two teams playing today - Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians - were topping the list of most catches dropped in this IPL. SRH have dropped 11, still the most, but CSK have squeezed in between the two after dropping catches I couldn't keep count of (five or so) last night, with a total of 10 chances put down, and MI are third now with seven. So let's get the ball rolling

Abhishek Sharma: I would like to open. I talked to my coach and he said I would be needed more at 4 and 5. I think the first two games, the players were not a little clear about their roles. I talk to Lara sir. Last year as well I said I am lucky to have him. I have learnt a lot from Yuvi sir as well. The role of the all-rounders have reduced after the rule of Impact Player.
