This one question probably runs through the minds of Anupama lovers and haters alike.

We all know Anupamaa, the show (and the character) has suffered catastrophic damage in the last few months. Be it the ridiculous writing, the shoddy direction or the crappy execution, the show has taken a hit on all fronts and sadly there’s not much that can be done to salvage it.

No matter how many ‘new udaans’ they plan, it will not make a difference unless they actually acknowledge where they went wrong and genuinely feel the need to make a change.

For that to happen, they will first need to stop promoting it as a progressive show on women empowerment when it does nothing for the cause. But we know it aint gonna happen and we will be watching and trolling it the same in 2030.

For now I wanna know what you think is the main factor that contributed to its failure among sensible audiences, for the rest(TRP people) its become a habit, a bad one.

On a serious note, I hold nobody but herself responsible. However, I did select Anupama & Bapuji.

I can understand that she was married off at a young age, perhaps she looks up to bapuji since he is older (& wiser!?) and in some way (naively) believes that he has good intentions for her. If he really wished her well, he would have stopped any form of mistreatment towards her from baa or V or anyone else.

Besides that, no matter what her background, upbringing, education, strata in the society etc - are, she lacks self-respect and determination to make her life better.

Our education really comes from day-to-day experiences, it does not have to be college degrees. As humans, we are wired to that way, i.e to learn from experience. That is what shapes us into better individuals.

She is no longer young and immature, she is in her 40s to have plenty of experiences. Why doesn’t she learn from her mistakes?

As the spoke person for her pallu, please leave them out of this, they had no choice in this matter. they were never given choice in this matter. In fact they are very embarrassed to be associated with such a lady. 🤣

It's Anupa. Whether or not she wants to admit. Whether or not the show makers want to admit. Whether or not her fans want to admit. Whether or not the characters if the show want to admit.

Whether they blame it on Shahs.

Whether they blame it on Anuj.

Whether they blame it on Anu.

Whether they blame it on God.

The fault mainly lies with Anupa.

I have no sympathy for those who blind themselves to their own faults and want to blame the whole world instead of introspecting. Let her try to fly high in the sky but the truth remains, her feet are shackled with the chains of her own narcissism, self importance and need for validation from her abusers.

When you believe yourself to be the best, you leave no scope for learning and improvement. She had ample opportunity to observe and better herself over the years, even within the constraints of her surroundings. Simple things like pronunciation for which she could have sought Samar's help years back.

She lost her father at an early age and Bapuji filled that father figure role for her when she came to Shah house. Someone who was kind to her, a fact that stood out more when contrasted with Baa's behaviour. But, he is a weak man. And worse, was in a position to do something to stop the abuse but didn't do anything. He likes the perks that come with being the head of a household without living up to the responsibilities that come with it. His wife has never felt he's good enough and he's let that erode his self esteem. To the detriment of the entire family. Pontificating about morality is all very well, but you need to follow it through as well.
