Never spoke from both sides of mouth. Just responded to that person who said why not mention faith of others, why only us, and take offense when your own community has been using references to own faith so casually and began trend of casual references to deities in first place.
Filing complaint by a BJP leader is definitely Sanghi. Just as there are motivated complaints by Akalis all the time pretending to be guardians of Sikhs. Or Khalistanis sitting abroad seeing anti Sikh conspiracies everywhere in even films and ads. I do not see ordinary Hindus or Sikhs make so much issue of things in real life as much as I see such vested interests and their verified IDs, IT cells make issues and file cases as if real complaints are already not piling up. Wasting time of court and police. One can object if they want. Why file cases?
If one really wants others to not use references to own faith with disrespect then maybe they should not disrespect own faith in first place and alluding to that, does not mean advocating to become as fanatic or violent or extreme as others.
I wrote longer posts explaining my POV but if it is lost on anyone then it is not my issue.
It is weird to take offense at others not respecting your faith when your own lot has been going around mocking it or equating self to gods or writing fantasies about own gods and selling chappals, beedi packs, soaps, bedsheets with pics of gods or making toons, comics, video games, jewellery, tattoos etc on own deities. Once you have reduced something to characters or roles or idioms, you better know there will be possibility of more loose talk and less reverential tone in discussing deities and their lore. So keep religion as religion and not some entertainment industry content or your everyday idioms, if you hate any disrespect.
And in general I know most people make big deal of religion all time, so it is best to avoid this volatile and bullshit topic entirely to avoid controversies from vested interests and opportunists.
