I love reading too i have a small library at home. I am more into thrillers & romantic novels. Its nice to know that many celebs are fond of reading. I only knew abt Kajol i remember Ajay saying it she loves reading and he is opposite to her
Sarika is another actress I can think of other than the ones mentioned. I remember reading articles about how she didn't go to school because she started working from a young age. So she educated herself and learnt words by reading dictionaries from scratch each day or something like that, and became a voracious reader.
Shah Rukh Khan
Sonali Bendre
Soha Ali Khan
Saif Ali Khan
Twinkle Khanna
Intelligent Saifu!!! He is such a voracious reader and so intelligent that the first ever woman to grace the earth is madly in love with him
Most of them seem pseudo to me. Like they hang on to books to project the "image" of being cerebral. Funny thing is, not all those who read are really smart, that's such a fundamentally wrong notion people carry!
if you ain't grasping the essence of thing what is even the point? Also, using books as "intellectual" escape mechanism to be anti-social? Nah-ah! I am all for books and cinema as escape mechanism but it should be self-aware and moderated not use it as an excuse to project or rub a impression.
Why did I even get into this rant? Sorry TM, I was going in some other direction lmao. See, I love books but I have a sort of pet peeve with people who "use" them for purpose other than what they are meant to be. Yeah, yeah to each their own, I know but still... my pet peeve.
Aargh! I should stop digressing.
Anyway, on topic, I remember seeing an interview of SRK where he said he doesn't read the whole book always and asks people who read them to give him a gist and he kind of glances through to pages tries to grasp as much essence as possible, very rarely he gets time to sit down and read/finish a book. That was very honest and logical, Imo.
Other celebs, I'm not sure? I'd believe someone who subconsciously drops a reference in general conversation than the ones like saif, sonam, kangna etc wannabes who wants us to know they read.
