Because if a woman is attracted to a married man then there's a question raised over their characters especially the man, even if he never encouraged it.

But if two exes constantly meet each other despite them being married to other people now, their characters will always be spotless. Even when one constantly plots and desires to get the other back into his life and the other looks for all possible ways to run to the one.
