A guy pushing a girl is different from a girl pushing a guy because physically women are weaker gender. The force used will be totally different and there is no equality.
Let's keep the gender aside. Let's imagine a guy who looks like the rock pushing another guy who is less than half his size and viseversa. The rock won't budge from where he stands whereas the other guy will be atleast 3-4 steps away from where he initial stood if the rock pushed him. A fight between these two will never be a fight between equals. Rock's push or slap will never be equal to the push or slap of the man less than half his size. It's the same with ordinary men and women. It's different if the girl is an MMA fighter and the guy is a regular guy with no fighting skills.
There is a reason why there are seperate category for men and women in sports but don't have one when it comes to jobs or educational institutions that don't require physical strength. Thats why gender equality law only applies for white collar jobs and not in sports.
i understand everything you said, but I have a very simplistic view on all of this. Man or woman both genders, regardless of who is physically stronger, or who is in right in an argument, should refrain from raising their hands. It is not acceptable to shove the other, even if a woman does it to a man. In my view it is not about causing physical harm it is a sign that words are not working so now i will use my fist, and it brings up the justification for the other party to strike back. In the meerab thappad scene there were many arguments that meerub was the initiator of the abuse because she shoved him first 3 times before he slapped her. Then it becomes a self defence argument. Isn’t it just easier to live in a society where men and women keep their hands to themselves.
