Lol I disliked her so much. I wouldn't say hate - that's a strong emotion for someone I don't know personally, but she was on that border. Her personality and her entire elitism was too much. I was half expecting that one day she would ruin another person's dish to make hers shine.

Honestly the entire season was filled with shitty people. The only one I remotely liked was smrutishree and maybe the Punjabi girl. All the rest of them were either snobbish or downright racist. Rajji was a standoffish person but Priyanka, Ondrilla and Akash actively plotted against her to get eliminated even when she was the only one who made something half-decent on their team.

Also, the elitism in all the seasons of MCI annoys the shit out of me. Like not providing people with a recipe in a language they can read properly. Not making exceptions with alchohol, landing Rajji in elimination because she didn't knew what makhanas were called in Hindi.

I thought yesterdays episode was good to test contestants skills, and we had a lot of people not perform to expectations.

Like most have said I was kind of annoyed with Suvarna blaming Vineet. She should’ve tried, if for nothing else, atleast to check if it’s sweet enough or if any other flavour (like cardamom or rose essence) has been added. I think it was stupid of her.

I was quite impressed with Vineet, he made what Suvarna had thought of, and it wasn’t a bad version either.

I am glad Priyanka was forced to make something savoury, but I’m sure she’ll go back to desserts in no time.

Aruna did have the worst situation of all, with hardly any ingredients and did a fab job, but the judges going ga ga over popcorn was a bit much

Watched Baa's jowar/bajra, ragi vada recipe today..already had n idea of what it would be coz I make bajra vada requently..but minus her innovation of Paneer and pomegranate..

And it's exactly that..simple, homely, healthy n tasty.

Used to wonder what makes judges go gaga over some dishes in the show..at least at initial level it isn't something complicated, visually appealing, out of the box. Taste wins hands down

What do you think who will win tomorrow?

I find that in these group challenges - the team that looks like it is struggling actually ends up winning at the end. So I don't know why I feel like the green team will win. I do feel like the chefs were a bit annoyed with the green team being behind schedule though. First Vikas commented on it. Then Garima. And then Ranveer actually walked up to them and pointed out that they are behind and making their customers angry (if this was a restaurant).

That being said, I do feel like the red team is doing a much better job. Aruna divided the work well and is managing everyone well. Priyanka didn't divide the work properly and in a way it seemed like that team was just anyone leading, not Priyanka leading. I also feel that Aruna chose her team better. She chose strong contenders who also know how to deal with pressure. Priyanka chose people who like putting a lot of elements on the plate or like blaming others for their mistakes (i.e., Swarna).

Also I do feel like the red team was working better together. The green team looks lost and it seems like at any point they could break into a fight (not that they will but it looks like it).

Finally I feel like the red team was smarter when it came to planning their meal over the green team. They immediately decided less elements would be better for them, but make the elements as Italian as possible. The green team decided that they wanted lots of elements to show the "Italian" food rather than focus on a few small items.

Let's see what happens tomorrow. Cause it looks like on taste both are equal so far.

On a side note I am a little surprised they don't have servers this time - rather the team itself is serving. Typically for such challenges they have servers on site doing the serving.

On another side note - the pizza that the green team is making isn't any innovation. Maybe in India it is, but I've had it in Italy, Canada, and the US. It's a very tasty pizza. Balsamic with fig or balsamic with pear is very tasty.

I do hope the red team wins. I find that it has more people that I like and that are stronger. I also think Priya or Yashu should go this time so that means green team needs to go into elimination.

Innovation is a really annoying word tbh. Like, honestly making sweets with bitter things is not a new concept. You will find even chicken ka halwa in old dilli or lucknow. Similarly, I have eaten mac and cheese pasta in India. Someome might find it innovative or boring or an abomination in the west. At the end of the day, people eat whatever tastes good.

Half of the time the fine dining discourse by a lot of these avant garde chefs does sound as ridiculous as this :

Yeah that made no sense to me. It's veggie heavy! Not meat heavy. Even cheese or cream heavy would make more sense here. Meat heavy my foot.

I think Red team wins the challenge according to this video coz you can see Suwarna and Priyanka in Black apron. Supprisingly green team is trying lots of element coz today when they did challenge to become captain she said that quality matters most over the quantity and now she is not sticking her own words.

Oh yeah - good to know. Red team deserves to win.

I don't think Priyanka is suited for captaincy. She likes controlling her work and as a leader you need to let other people make the dishes and you need to ensure that things are running smoothly.

In precap, Garima is right - she is not the captain of green team but she has to keep getting involved because Priyanka is busy cooking rather than running the team.

The problem with the green team is that they all like making lots of elements but forget about quality in the process. In a way, this division shows us who will probably be in the top 5 and who will be eliminated. Green team has so many people who should go - Yashu, Priya, Swarna, and Dyuti.
