Priyanka & Nayanjyoti remind me of Ashima of MCI-S5 who primarily cooked sweets. I get that sweets is their comfort zone but they are literally playing it safe here. Priyanka's plating color was similar to that of Deepa where her food was criticized for having inadequate proportions so that was somewhat baffling lol even if the technique was nice. 😆 LOL. Regarding Nayanjyoti's food, it may have looked impressive & tasted impressive but his problem is sticking to sweet side. Plus, it was less than expected in terms of serving, like 2 people can consume the dish instead of 3.

Gurkirat's baklava dish looked like dosa served on platter, presentation seemed average but seems like taste was good.

Swarna- Presentation looked simple & nice. The 4 layering of the tart was nice. Nice improvement. The mango glaze with the til seasoning on top was nice touch.

Aruna's dish was sounded pretty cool as it involved both sweets & savory ka flavor -- I'm a fan of murruku/chakli that she was taking about during the cooking. However, I felt presentation was overdone even if it might've tasted well.

Priya- Presentation was too simple & I've eaten matar falafel so from that perspective's, its not innovative to me.

Deepa- Presentation was simple & nice. But I didn't like the raggi mudda in the bowl for some reason from presentation POV.

Yashu- Presentation looked tad simple of the aasmi. Just looked like soup & veggies on the side in a bowl.

Avinash- I feel it was olive stuffed pakoras so I wasn't much impressed with the way it looked. But did wish a chutney or sauce was prepped because it looked like a dry dish.

Dhyuti- I didn't like the presentation as the moon shaped dish looked more like a burnt food or something.

Sachin- the yakitori dish didn't look good presentation wise. Looked all messed up.

Santha- I felt presentation was pretty cool especially the color contrast. I feel she should explore other spices as opposed to sticking to just sticking Assamese spices like I understand thats her backdrop but want her to explore more.

Kamaldeep- I wasn't impressed with the presentation, felt it could've been improved more.

Vineet- Looked nice and pretty cool but no crust? I do wish to see more from him in upcoming episodes. Tapioca rasmalai sauce idea was pretty nice.

Hasn’t Nayanjyoti also cooked savoury? Or am I mistaken.

To me Suvarna’s dish was out and out Maharashtrian and there was negligible America. Just a pie crust to me is not incorporating two cuisines. Was a tad bit disappointed with her dish winning dish of the day. I thought Shanta and Priyanka did way better.

Vineets dish looked so good, sounded good, wish we could taste it.

Kamaldeeps dish was boring. While she did make a bunny chow, I was hoping there’d be more to it. Taste wise I’m guessing it would taste like saag chicken and baked roti! So something to maybe elevate it.

Nayanjyotis dish seemed ok, looked like a black forest, but that’s about it. Not much to comment.

I was quite excited to see how Aruna’s dish would turn out and I think she had the best thoughts. She blended both cuisines well in my opinion.

Gurkeerat - I remember a few seasons ago someone made a baklawa stuffed with choorma. So it’s been done before. Only difference he used gajar ka halwa. Not impressed by his innovation.

Sachin and Avinash’s dishes were other dishes I was looking forward to. Having lived in Japan for 10 years and now living in Spain I was eager to see what they would do. Avinash’s dish sounded interesting, stuffed olives - but it looked like one big fat mirchi ka pakoda the thelawala’s serve. Sachin dish looked like chicken cooked in gravy served on skewers - didn’t see the yakitori connection.

Deepa - I would’ve liked to hear more feedback about her dish. It was so rushed. She seems to be very adept at cooking Asian food (as seen on instagram) so I thought she’d ace this.

Dyuti - I actually don’t remember anything about her dish except the burnt caramel.

Yashu - again not much feedback, so hard to say. Looked simple, but I wish we could hear more of what they had to say.

Priya - I think she’s one of the next to go (her or Yashu). I think with a country like Lebanon there was so much she could do. Even with falafel there’s a lot one can do. Maybe stuff it with something Tamil, or coating could be something different. She’s just adamant on cooking healthy, which is good, but this show is more than that

No, he hasn't cooked savory in MC, even in audition rounds it was a sweet dish.

I'm not impressed with Swarna today. She kept trying to lay the blame for her mistakes on Vineet. He told me this. He didn't tell me the right thing so I didn't taste it. He had this made. He did that. She gave me Ondrilla vibes today. Ondrilla used to do the same thing - blame others for her mistakes or lie about her own mistakes.

Chef Garima said a very straightforward point. If you had tasted it, you would have known right away what it is. It doesn't matter what Vineet said and what he didn't say. He could say it's tofu, but you should have tasted it.

I also don't think it was Vineet's fault. He was also trying to understand what Swarna was making and trying to do justice to it. He was preoccupied so maybe he didn't even hear the question properly. Plus he did make your dish exactly as you had imagined it minus one or two elements. How can you say that it wasn't your plan? Not to mention that technically the judges had said no talking about your dishes. Still contestants answered a few questions here and there.

There should be challenge that those contestant should not cook anything from their comfort zone. I mean some of them are trying to do balance or trying something different from comfort zone but some are playing too safe.

Yup she was keep blaming Vineet as far as I know they weren't suppose to talk so when did Vineet told her that was Bhapa Dhoi sorry I might have spell this wrong though but it was job to taste as a cook and especially when you don't know what other person is making. May be I assume but she wasn't happy with the complement either it was Gurkirat or Vineet last week I forget who it was but she was in the gallery that time. It was tasting time and her reaction looked like she wasn't happy but I might be wrong on judging her reaction.

Lol I disliked her so much. I wouldn't say hate - that's a strong emotion for someone I don't know personally, but she was on that border. Her personality and her entire elitism was too much. I was half expecting that one day she would ruin another person's dish to make hers shine.

Yes and he just told her what his end product was. That doesn't mean that it was all made and ready for her to use. She literally went over to his counter with the expectation that everything would just fall in place for her.

In terms of taste, I can't say anything. But in terms of taking someone else's idea to fruition, I felt like Vineet did the best job. What Swarna wanted to make was basically what Vineet made. No one else was able to get close to what the other person was trying to make.

Gurkirat's seems nice but the whole "never cooked chicken before" monologue was pretty annoying as episode continued. Not tasting the dish before serving & expecting good execution was lame, IMO. Also, not cooking with the duck when it could do wonders was another lame excuse of playing safe.

Good thing Santha's moving out of comfort zone.

I wish Aruna starts to step out of her comfort zone of South Indian dishes. It's getting tad boring now.

Same for Vineet, need to step out of sweet zone.

Swarna doing the indirect blame game on Vineet was stupid. Could've asked or bartered it lol. Also, the Maharashtrian comfort zone was getting mundane.

No expectations from Priyanka, lmao. Sweets, here I make you again! lmao 😂 🤣 Same for Nayanjyoti from the start😆Also, blaming Santha for not bringing ingredients and savory rant was stupid. 😆At least she was trying to explore unlike Priyanka.

Kamaldeep was okay but seemed to panic at times before gaining composure.

---coming to the dishes

Vineet- Finally stepped out of sweet zone. Dish doesn't look that bad, pretty good. Seems like dish was lacking the zest in terms of filling.

Swarna- Dish looked messy. Liked street food or something. 😕Even if was chena or not, that means she didn't taste the dish.

Gurkirat- Dish looked average & typical. Not impressed.

Kamaldeep- she frankly speaking looked panic & seemed to forgotten that she added chilli flakes in thw sauce. Food plating looked too simple.

Santha- Dish looked simple but much better than prior platings.I appreciate that she cooked sweet dish & explored it well. Good that she explored the sweet route.

Priyanka-Thank goodness, she cooked savory this time, man. Seriously, her dish tasted good & she should explore the savory route rather than stick to just dessert. Plating was pretty impressive.

Nayanjyoti- I wish he did something savory. His dish looked fine but, he could've explored the savory route with the grains or something.

Aruna- Her problem is that she is sticking to her South Indian dish comfort zone. Plating looked decent & playful so will give her credit for that.
