Yes definitely emotions involved hain varna he would have thrown her out like the way he did with the other girl. I wouldn't say love but he definitely seems to have a liking/crush on her. Isliye bahar nahi pheka. He is still not able to speak harshly about her and is hoping ki she should back out

my guess is that a huge part of who he is also based on the negative relationship with his father. he was devatated when some aunty said he looked just like the spitting image of his father. so much so that he was walking around like a zombie in the rain.

we had the impression that his father left for one woman but what if it wasn't just one woman? what if he was a serial womanizer who was constantly jumping from one woman to another and the house was in constant turmoil? where there was a series of gold diggers who constantly entered and exited? where his mom took his dad after every single affair because it was what was expected or that she loved him anyway.

part of the devastation from the night will be him feeling that he is just like his father -- he ran his whole life to not be him and ended up being him. that will play into breaking his spirit....

so his standards forms his identity and to lower those standards means he is not who he thought he was. then what is he? a single night that forces him to look further into the dark...

One thing I loved about this episode, which btw ITV famously does in the beginning of its shows, but later dwindles is the two friends of the leads. Where leads are gray, make questionable choices, are driven to face palm us, friends always turn out to be the epitome of good and humane behavior. So in many ways, the two friends of our leads are the actual “heroes” sensible, righteous and supportive.

it was interesting how Viaan has never done this before so in many ways it’s not easy for him either. This was a good piece of info I thought.

I am always a sucker for emotions with no dialogues and in this way our leads hit it out of the park. On paper, Katha’s actions can be quite OTT, but somehow the actress is so restrained it’s a treat to watch. You feel for her, she has kept the meter on her emotions just right. On the other hand, on paper, Viaan’s can be too restrained, too subtle but some how our male lead is able to bring out his tug of war with anger and confusion with his eyes and face very well.

Btw LOVED the robe Katha was wearing, kaha se kharid sakte hai? Voh white with design on sleeves and pockets. And I did hope Viaan ne towliya ko saree ke pleats ki tarah pin kiya ho…Kahi aisa na ho ki anger aur aag babula valle emotion mei hips burst ho jaaye…aur Asha ki Kiran nirasha ki alag hi Prabhas na bann jaaye! I mean I don’t want to see you before Katha sees you…aisi nainsaafi uske saath hum honey nahi dete…

ONE thing that did sort of surprise me was that she didn’t think of her husband in the scene where she is contemplative and hopeful of why she is going through with this. Which only means, that in her mind, it’s completely transactional, I suppose.

Kind of bored with shawl uncle and Beuatiful pendant necklace Aunty. I ignored the dialogues and admired the clothes and set!! Matlab these fools are not even remembering the numbers - 1 corrode aur Kuch lakh…oh hello!! Exact numbers pe puri serial chal rahi hai bhai!!!!

Dekho behen log, I am not the only one obsessed with “bag”… bagwati is security bhai…in more ways than one!

Vaise as predicted they are moving into ONS next week and as some hoped I don’t think they will show anything except dupatta slip, buttons open, and close up on bagwati!!!

Very true!! Katha ke liye trasactional hai par uske liye kaafi personal.. Clearly not something he will be able to forget about.. If this is difficult for him even when he thinks she's the one in the wrong, when he finds out the truth and remorse kicks in 😭.. oh boy can't wait!!!
