it is an interesting twist isn't it? we are used to this idea of men being rather laissez faire about it and therefore can do physical relations without any thought. there is the idea in ITV that it is the women whose emotions are always involved when it comes to intimacy. here, we are seeing a bit of twist in that. it is personal for viaan. he isn't the type to just have physical relations because he wants to relieve his biological instincts. so this is difficult for him as well.

I am actually happy that they have kept a lot of backstory hidden. I don’t want to know everything, it keeps the mystery of the ML alive , makes for an interesting story. Sab Kuch kehne ki zrurat nahi hai, show don’t tell!

Kshitu and Mango, absolutely agree!!! This is exactly what I mean. To me, the execution has not sucked, yes it could have been slightly better, but I think they wanted us to feel that tug along with him. Instead. If everything was told, we would have rolled our eyes and said - bhai Kuch bhi kya? Because we place so much moral value on sex.

feel the makers are doing it on purpose. they want us to hate the ML or at least despise viaan on some level. basically feel for katha that we are all on her side and no one is throwing stones at her for making this choice. they want the audience to get behind katha for making an unconventional choice.

then they will reveal his side and we might do a re-think.

sometimes, we have no idea about a person's hurt from a wound and when we unkwowingly step on it, they roar and we are stunned -- because we have no background to why that noise is coming. that is viaan. I feel that when we hear the context to his roar, people may be more kinder to him.

Just like in relationships, how we build expectations. This can hold true in sex too. The act itself can build expectations or the journey to commit to the act is built on expectations.

“Mai pul pe chadh gaya thaaa” - it is only up to this point they are both on same level…iske baad their expectations are different

Wow.. This is a new perspective of seeing his feelings... I also feel makers are trying to convey that only... That is why viaan was saying about lonliness and dark... I feel both are product of circumstances and their perspective to each other are clashing which giving the feel of betrayal.

exactly; just because he has the money doesn't mean he is obliged to give it to her even as a loan. even a small loan when your servant asks, they give a whole amount of background info. and they might be asking for something like 5K or 10K or 20K. you listen and then based on your budget, say yes or no. here, she is asking for 1crore, 2 lakhs and 17,000. say her salary is 1-2 lakhs per month, it is 100 times her salary. who will give so much without any explanation? the way she approached him -- from his perspective, it was like so many other women who had tried to take advantage. he felt cheated that he had given her a little leeway and she took it to throw a googly.

was he a moron for offering one night stand instead of just telling her 'no' -- yes. but he is reacting and not thinking. now, they are both stuck as neither will back out.

@bold- this is so so true!! Even for such a small amount we need explanation. Its not about our lack of money but one deserves to know ki voh paisa jaa kahan raha hai.

From Viaan's perspective it definitely looked wrong for her to ask like that. I mean voh 1 crore aise maang rahi thi jaise padosi se cheeni ya sabzi mangte hain ki thoda dedo abhi mere paas nahi hai types😆

Again that doesn't give him the right to behave the way he did. Even if she is a gold digger its none of his business to test her. He too could have said no like a professional or asked her ki why she needs such a huge amount but he decides to be a jerk😆 but he is twisted in his own way.

I guess he expected her to react exactly as she did. He probably would have apologized to her and asked her the problem and even given the money happily knoqing about her son and how much she is doing for him but alas! things were destined to happen very differently
