Katha and only Katha is victim ,Vian had the option of backing out Katha did not have that option

Plz stop portraying Vian as victim kisi ne gunpoint pe nhi bola usko ONS krne

Vian ko victimize Krna band kro plz.

You know what option did he have in this circumstance Katha k mooh pe paise maar k insult krne ka that ye lo gold digger i m not interested in touching you.

That would also have been a test right

This whole thing of he is not ons type guy can not dhulify his act with washing powder nirma .

Without guilt and redemption he doesnt deserve katha

Kshitu and Mango, absolutely agree!!! This is exactly what I mean. To me, the execution has not sucked, yes it could have been slightly better, but I think they wanted us to feel that tug along with him. Instead. If everything was told, we would have rolled our eyes and said - bhai Kuch bhi kya? Because we place so much moral value on sex.

I really liked today's episode but not the last two honestly.. Jo angst mujhe expected thi woh aaj mili.. Last two episodes ke baad sirf troll karne ka mann kiya 🤣 it's okay though, overall I think I get what they are trying to portray now so 👍🏼

another thought: we normally think of love songs as beautiful dances but not all dances are pretty looking like a waltz or a hindi song that is shot in switzerland. instead, some like the tango have this agressive kind of push pull.

am reminded of this tango that I saw a while back and the lyrics to the song -- this dance (only minute and half friends, check it out!) and lyrics feel like it would be the vibe between katha and viaan. they can't move away but they are pushing against each other... and that lift in the end - waaah!

the reason it comes across as weird is that he is being polite in his language when he was voicing his thoughts. if we have to be crude, here are some of his philosophies that was displayed much earlier.

1. many relationships are transactional. so old men can get a young attractive woman provided he has money. he gets to have fun as long as he pays for it. she does not care about him but is only interested in money

2. women use their body and beauty to try climb up the ladder. so men have to be extra careful while dealing with them in the office

3. everything boils down to money and there is no sincerity to anything

these are some of the negative type feels he is struggling with. the problem with viaan is that he is not completely wrong. the truth is all these things occur. there are women who use their body to get ahead. some relationships are simply transactional and many people are not interested in you but your money. and yes, you have to be smart about who you trust and open up to.

viaan is desperate to be proven wrong and to know that the wolrd can be good place and there are are people who can be relied on. instead, it is his negative thoughts about the world that is constantly being reinforced. he actually didn't mean the one night stand for real and threw it out there flippantly because she asked for an amount that seemed unreasonable. he was angry that she seemed to be taking advantage of the system where she got promoted. there is no reason to trust her because he does not know her. instead of politely telling her 'no', he pushes back with an insult.

now, he is stuck because he can't come down due to his ego. it is almost like little boys who will insist on going to visit a haunted house because they have to prove they are not scared of anything.

if it was a typical type one night stand offer, it would make more sense but also make the ML sleazy. here, it is atypical for him as well as her. infact neither will want to go ahead with this but they will force themselves to. thats what makes the story different.

Story is getting interesting each day. I have a few issues with Viaan.

1. Why he is bothered if Katha is a gold digger or not? What difference it makes to him or company professionally? She did not ask him any free favours. She asked for a loan. And he is offering it for free, for one night. To me Katha doesn't look a gold digger. He looks like an extreme MCP

2. Cant he even think there should be some reason why Katha wants specifically 1 Cr 2 Lakh 17 thousands, not a single penny less or more? Does this Super business man who controls construction business in India have brain to even think why she is specific in amount?

3. Who on earth tests a woman with such an indecent proposal? What does he want to prove? Is he attracted to her that it matters to him how she is? She is the best employee in your firm and she is essential for your project. What he will do if she leaves the company after his proposal? Apna dimag hai ki nahi?

4. I agree he did not expect that she will accept. After she accepts, what was his expression of disgust. She is not your family or friend that she has to maintain her image in front of you, right

5. Why he decided to go ahead with ONS. That makes him also look really low. What will happen if tomorrow this incident comes to the light and some of your friends and family get to know? Does he think only woman should have morality and clear image and a man is allowed to have all the fun?

I hope they stick to OG and doesn't twist for ITV. Hope they really show Viaan regretting and putting his all efforts to win her forgiveness. Hope they won't just push all his deeds under the carpet and whitewash him with two dialogues

PS: Special mention to Katha and Aarav. They make me cry every episode. The dialogue, "Mamma hai to Aarav hai and Aarav hai to Mamma hai, and Mamma sab kuch apneliye kar rahi hoon" hit me so hard that I couldn't resist tears.

Aditi is really phenomenal, so is the child actor.

I don't think anybody is trying to whitewash him.. Just trying to understand how he might looking at this whole thing that's all.. Woh galat hai hi without a doubt.. And without redemption uske character ka koi matlab bhi nahi hai.. He could have backed out, he could have not acted like a jerk by trying to test her, he could have tried to ask her why she needs the money, there are so many things he could've done right but he didn't which is why he will be in hell when he finds out the truth and he will deserve it too..

This is so true!! He is going to regret this every moment of his life. It hurts to think that things could have been so different between them but everything got so messed up.

Just hoping they would handle his redemption properly.

well he does not have the information does he? it is not like katha told him why she needs the money and what is her need? so how can he possibly distinguish her as different from any other woman who hit on him or was trying to climb up the ladder? if he knew and he took advantage, then yes, she is a victim.

but in this case, it falls into the grey because she is choosing to spend the night. a man might hit on a woman and she can say 'no' or 'yes'. here she said 'yes' and we know why but he doesn't. as far as he knows, this is consensual.

so it is a grey story because it is essentially a man and woman choosing to spend the night together for not the usual reasons. they are coming into it with different motivations and that is what we were discussing as kshitu noted. this is not going to be black and white story with clear answers. so we will be looking at motivations and world views to understand why these characters are making the choices they are and then form our own reactions.
